PROOF CHRIS BROWN WAS SET TO PERFORM!!!
I read a tweet Sunday evening on BET’s twitter page that said Chris Brown would be opening the show. When I went back to find it, all evidence of Chris Brown’s intended performance at Sunday’s BET AWARDS had been removed. Luckily, Mediatakeout snagged it before it was taken down. Check it out:

Interestingly enough, I’m hearing that Jay-Z wasn’t the only party hating on Chris Brown that night. The nail that sealed Chreezy’s coffin was when Covergirl cosmetics allegedly threatened to pull all advertising from the BET network if Chris Brown took the stage in any way. Covergirl cosmetics sponsors both Rihanna and Queen Latifah, who just happened to be one of the featured performers of the evening.

ok, this is getting a little ridiculous, the tribute was not about Chris, Rihanna, Jay Z, cover girl or anybody else, MJ stood for peace and forgiveness and none of the people involved displayed it. I’m sure MJ would have loved for Chris to perform but I guess nobody thought about that.
Ok, I’m wondering when did HOV supposedly make such a demand?? I heard the BBD guys doing a radio interview, and they stated they were asked to open Friday w/ the the New Edition/J5 tribute! I’m not convinced that HOV blackballed Chris on this!
That’s what arrogant people do. It’s never about whats’ actually going on, it’s what’s only going on in ther world. I know Michael Jacksonwould have loved to see Chris Brown perform, out of everyone that has ever come out, I think Chris Brown naturally captured Michael’s love for the craft of dancing. Let’s be honest here, Chris Brown is a way better dancer than Usher was in his Hay day and thats’ saying alot cause Usher can dance. I think that it is unfair how he is being portrayed in the media as this little monster but it seems to be ok sicne this happened that Rihanna has been linked to too many different men in such a short period of time. I wouldn’t want my daughter idolizing somenone like that. Not once has she come forward and spoke to young women about abuse, what it’s not cool enough? If the girl can be out partying than she can speak to the youth about a serious issue and not looking for the next publicity stunt (Drake). I think Chris Brown needs a second chance, cause I’m sure if it was Justin Timberlake, he would have been forgiven. You see how he fed Janet to the wolves in their situation? He ripped off the piece of clothing but it was her that was the scapegoat.
Chris should have been allowed to perform.I guess some other network will do a tribute and it’s gonna be alot better than BET’s.And Chris will be there and he’s gonna do his thing.I’m looking foward to it.I only watched this year because of Micheal Jackson passing.I don’t watch BET Like that.
Man, I am so sick of the Chris and Rihanna saga… First of all, this crap is one sided… believe me, Rihanna’s role in this is what lead to her getting into a domestic fight with her boyfriend…I can almost guarantee that when she found the text message, she went the hell off and while cursing Chris out, she let her emotions get the best of her and she laid hands on him first and in a knee jerk reaction Chris hit her back and the lovers quarrel was on….Ricky Smiley said it best this morning on his show… Jay Z should have taken both Chris and his so called “lil sister” Rihanna and sat both of them down and cleared the air with the two of them… He’s supposed to be the big man… then act like a man and be the big brother/father/mentor to Chris and do the right thing, offer the young man your support and encouragement and forgiveness.
This is so funny to me. Over half of the people in that room have done far worse than what Chris did. He has pleaded guilty and received his punishment from the court system and still is getting punished by society. This is ridiculous! There would barely be no one at the BET awards if u put out all the criminals or people who have commited a crime equal to or worse than his. Almost half the people in the room would have a question mark over their heads. This is actually crazy! Why try to break, ruin this young man. He made a bad mistake, which I’m sure he has learned from. Some people get away with murder and ya’ll still support them. Come on people. We’ll see how many reviews he receive at the MTV awards.

I have to agree im so tired of this situation….Chris B is being judged and Rihanna is that saint….Jay-Z and all that was involved in blocking this man from performing were wrong….lets keep in mind that they are young adults….made mistakes as we all do and he is paying for his mistakes…..when will it be okay to move on….when is his debt considered paid…Could it be that Chris B. would have put on a better show than Jay and his beloved B’ and HATE took over….
I believe Chris has been done wrong as well. I luv HOV n all but that was just ignorant. He realize what he did was wrong and every1 is right, this was for MJ not for every1 else. HOVs performance had nothin to do with the passing of MJ and neither did Beys. As a matter of fact I could have done without her performance. I’m gald to see that there are other “TRUE” Chris fans out there.
I listen to the entire Ricky Smiley show this morning and it was interesting to me how Jamie really didn’t want to talk about it and was ansewering the questions to me half and half…I think BOTH played apart in Chris not being able to perform (Jay and Cover Girl )but it worked out for Chris because the awards show was MESS. I also liked what Ricky S. said this morning Jay should have sat both of them down because they are both young and can grow from this…I think this situation went too far…another story will break and this saga will be over….

Chris Brown messed up big time and what has he done to redeem himself besides pleading guilty after initially pleading not guilty? I mean, when TI messed up and realized that he could be spending a long, LONG time in prison, he did what he had to do to get his sentence reduced. He stepped up to the plate, admitted his wrong doing and went on a path to redeem himself by teaching the youth not to make the same stupid mistakes he made. What has Chris Brown done?
Ricky Smiley is not being honest with himself if he says that Jay-Z should have sat Chris and Rihanna down to clear the air. Is that what he would have done if his little sister was beaten black and blue (whether she instigated it or not)? I don’t think so. Unfortunately Chris Brown is learning the hard way that certain things are unacceptable. If he is smart and creative he will be able to overcome the “blackball”.

This is when I have a problem, the situation with Rihanna and Chris Brown is over. CB has been given his punishment for the huge mistake he made. Now leave him alone let him live his life and get back to performing. If it is true that Jaz-Z and Covergirl didn’t want him on the show. This is the very reason the show was a failure. BET allowed someone else to make the decisions for the show. I watched the show to see a tribute to MJ and they fell short. I was hoping to see CB because I heard of the tribute he did before. I hope someone else do a tribute and CB is involved.

I am so sick to my stomach with Debra Lee and those clowns over BET how can they let this go down that award show was no tribute to Michael at all. Michael is not only a great singer he was also an amazing dancer and u would think if u would give an icon like Michael a tribute even at last minute they could have done wayyyyy better than that. The show was straight garbage with the exception of neyo and jamie tribute at the end. Ciara should not only sing she should have done a dance redition of one of jackson classic. The entire performances with the exception of the O Jays and neyo and jamie and neyo redition at the end outside of that the other performances did fit what was suppose to be a tribute for Michael. MJ u deserve so much better and I hope that MTV or ur brother and sister do a tribute that best signifies what u were so great at real soon.

I listen to Rickey Smiley every morning and that is how I came to know he jumped on his ex wife and has a record and what not. He said he was wrong and got help etc but that is why he really defends CB. He spoke on his situation and said he shouldnt be on air if CB cant keep being a performer behind ONE isolated incident. Rickey also has custody of ALL his kids including his 12/13 yr old daughter and I am sure he would be PISSED if soembody jumped on her BUT if he knew she was the one who gave the 1st lick I am sure that would change the situation. I like and support Rihanna but she admitted she hit CB 1st numerous time and even in the past in Europe. CB was WRONG for hitting Rihanna there is no way around it BUT I feel she is not the “victim” either per say.
I am not convinced CB is black balled just yet I feel Rihanna shutting that down cause she knows the deal. If my name was Beyonce I would be wondering why my hubby is so over protective of his “non blood related lil sister”.
