Though it’s been a couple of weeks, the Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj “American Idol” feud apparently is still on the minds of many, including our very own President!
Obama spoke out about the ladies argument on a radio show recently when he was immediately asked his opinion.
I think that they are going to be able to sort it out. I am confident. I’m all about bringing people together, working for the same cause, I think both outstanding artists are going to be able to make sure that they’re moving forward and not going backwards.”
He also said he wouldn’t choose who his favorite is between the two.
Mariah, she’s actually done some events for us. I’ve gotten to know her and Nick [Cannon]. She’s a wonderful lady. Nicki I don’t know, but I’ve got her on my iPod.”
On the other hand, former “AI” alum, Jennifer Hudson, thinks the whole incident was just to get people more interested in the show so that they’ll want to watch for anymore catfights. TMZ caught up with her at LAX this past weekend, and she said,
I don’t believe it. I think it’s just for ratings for the show.”
Hudson isn’t alone. NBC’s “The Voice” judge, Cee-Lo also thought the ‘fight’ was for publicity. Only time will tell, but whether it was real or not, it got people’s attention, so they are DEFINITELY tuned in now to see what happens.
