With Miguel’s ‘drop kick’ to a fan in the audience and Nicki Minaj’s seductive lap dance to Lil Wayne, there were a LOT of surprises at Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards, but it appears something else flew under the radar.

“Entertainment Tonight” correspondent Rosci Diaz fainted in the middle of interviewing Miley Cyrus on the red carpet coverage before the show even began. An ambulance was called to the scene and Diaz explained in an interview what happened.

I’m really thankful for everyone that dropped everything to help me yesterday. Shaun Robinson actually left her position on the carpet to run to my side, thanks for being there, girl! I also apologize for cutting Miley’s interview short, she must have been so confused, but I didn’t want to faint on her!”

The Vegas heat combined with a lack of sleep proved to be a bad combination. Diaz’s publicist released a statement saying,

It was a scary, humbling and embarrassing moment and an important wake up call to take better care of myself while on the road.”

Glad she’s okay!!!

Last night the 2013 Billboard Music Awards were held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and there were quite a few memorable performances.

Erykah Badu and Janelle Monae introduced the most talented icon of the night, Prince, who closed out the show.

Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne performed “High School” and we saw a whole LOT of Minaj’s assets. She gave Weezy a seductive lap dance which I’m sure her Barbs loved every second of!!!

And the moment that will be remembered came when Miguel hit the stage to perform his hit, “Adorn.” Of course the man can SANG, but when he attempted what some are calling a ‘failed semi-stage dive,’ he hit two women at the side of the stage. Luckily, everyone was okay.

And Chris Brown showed off his killer dance moves which saved him due to his lack of vocal skills on “Fine China.”

Following his performance, he tweeted,

Lil hoarse for the performance but it happens. Good sh-t otherwise.”

Black Entertainment Television’s hottest and brightest stars came out to support the network’s 2013 Upfronts in New York City yesterday. From Gabrielle Union to Nelly, everyone looked fab and fly.

“Being Mary Jane” star Gabrielle Union looked chic in a red jumpsuit.

“Real Husband of Hollywood” Boris Kodjoe kept it GQ in a grey suit.

“106” hosts Miss Mykie and Paigion looked fresh and pretty.

BET CEO Debra Lee grabbed a quick shot with BET Awards host Chris Tucker.

Nicole Ari Parker struck a pose in a patterned ensemble.

Nelly kept it cool and casual.

Comedian Chris Tucker is set to host the 2013 BET Awards taking place on June 30th in Los Angeles.

The network officially announced this yesterday and Stephen Hill, BET’s President of Music Programming and Specials, spoke about choosing Tucker as this years host.

We cannot wait for Chris to set fire to the BET Awards stage with his unique brand of mayhem. We’ve been chasing him for years and we couldn’t be happier that he is hosting the show in this special year.”

Tucker is also looking forward to taking on this role as host.

I am honored to be asked to host this year’s BET Awards. I’m looking forward to being part of a really great show.”

Previous hosts include Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, Kevin Hart, Steve Harvey, Monique, Jamie Foxx and Samuel L. Jackson.

Last night the 2103 MTV Movie Awards were held in at Los Angeles’ Sony Picture Studios in Culver City, CA.

Stars such as Jamie Foxx, Kerry Washington, Zoe Saldana, Snoop Dogg and Kim Kardashian were all spotted on the red carpet.

Foxx brought along his beautiful 19-year-old daughter, Corinne, and proudly wore a Trayvon Martin shirt…

He was also spotted with the beautiful Washington, who presented him with the Generation Award later in the show.

The MTV Video Music Awards are headed back to the East Coast!

The 2013 VMA’s will be held on Sunday, August 25th at the new Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn. Usually the award show is held in Los Angeles or Manhattan. They haven’t been held in New York since 2009 and have been in Los Angeles since then.

The Barclay’s Center has come onto the map as the home of the Brooklyn Nets and more recently, Jay-Z’s multi-night concerts.

Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz spoke to MTV News about the announcement:

From hip-hop to hipsters, Jay- Z to MGMT, Brooklyn musicians have a long history of dominating the ‘spotlight’ on MTV. Brooklyn is a cultural Mecca — the hippest, coolest place for young people across the country, and has played a crucial role in the careers of some of 2013′s biggest bands, like Fun and the Lumineers. Now, it is only fitting that the first time Brooklyn will ever host a major awards show, we are welcoming the most exciting and talked about spectacle in the music industry … I’m so thrilled that I’ll probably get ‘no sleep till Brooklyn’ hosts the VMAs!”
