Sherri Shepherd, co-host of “The View,” wed fiance’ Lamar Sally on Saturday in her hometown of Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. Sally, who became engaged in December of last year, are inviting everyone to have a front row seat at the wedding when the Style Network airs their nuptials and the days leading up to the ceremony in a special titled “Wedding Fabulous: Sherri Shepherd Gets Married.” The special, airing September 12th at 9 p.m., will give an up close and personal peek and behind the scenes look of what it took to pull off the bash. Sherri’s fellow co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck, and fellow celeb friends Kym Whitley, Niecey Nash, and Nicole Yvette Brown served as bridesmaids.
In a surprising twist, Sherri’s other View co-host, Joy Behar, who has been very vocal about NOT getting married again after her first marriage ended, tied the knot with long-time boyfriend Steve Janowitz in New York City on Friday in a private and intimate ceremony in front of friends and family. Very interesting timing… The couple who had been dating for 29-years were engaged briefly in 2009, but Joy called it off due to getting cold feet. A rep for the show said Behar will discuss the wedding when the show returns for it’s 15th season on September 6th.

As someone who has seen Joy adamantly swear off marriage, I am shocked she tied the knot seemingly out of nowhere and right before her co-host’s wedding on Saturday. Do you think it was just a coincidence or was she trying to steal Sherri’s thunder?? Hmm.. I will definitely be tuned in on September 6th to see what they have to say about all of this!
