Spain Wins 2010 FIFA World Cup!!!

Spain defeated the Netherlands 1-0 in the final 2010 FIFA World Cup game yesterday! Spaniard player Andres Iniesta landed the winning goal in overtime!

Former South African president, Nelson Mandela opened up the final match, arriving to the field before the start of the game in a golf cart. Mandela received a standing ovation upon his arrival.

This was Janet Jackson’s first performance since the death of her brother Michael…..she ripped the stage as only Janet’s could!!

Jamie Hector is Moving Mountains

Jamie Hector played the notorious drug lord Marlo Stansfield in the award-winning HBO series “The Wire,” but in real life he’s teaching kids how not to become the next Marlo. He’s the brainchild behind a new not-for-profit called “Moving Mountains” which recruits talented students to live out their wildest dreams on stage.

I was humbled to receive an “Image Award” from the organization during a special charity luncheon in NYC over the weekend. Check out some flicks below…..

Ghana Wins Historic World Cup Match!

History was made yesterday when Ghana scored a victorious goal over Serbia in the final minutes of the very first round of the World Cup FIFA series hosted in Africa. Ghanians around the world celebrated this landmark moment, as a historical period in time that will always be remembered!

The 1-0 victory came during the final five minutes of the game, when Ghanaian striker Asamoah Gyan landed a big score off a penalty shot.

This is the first time that Africa was granted permission (South Africa) to host the World Cup rounds, they’ve been shunned out of the running for host country since the series kicked off in 1930.The games are held every four years.

CONGRATS to Ghana on this historical win!!!
