Alicia Keys Big Announcement

In recognition of World AIDS Day, the exclusive concert Alicia Keys Live! One Night, One Voice, One Life at a Time will take place tomorrow night at New York City’s Nokia Theater. During the concert, Alicia will make a special announcement that will reportedly change the lives of five people.

The performance will be recorded and streamed live via YouTube at 8 p-m [ET]. Proceeds from the show will help raise funds for Keys’ Keep a Child Alive charity, and American Express is donating all ticket proceeds to the organization.

Alicia Keys & Leona Lewis Perform on DWTS

Alicia Keys and Leona Lewis shared the same stage on Tuesday’s “Dancing with the Stars” semi-finals results show. Alicia performed her second single “Try Sleeping with a Broken Heart,” while her labelmate Leona sang “Happy.”

Alicia Keys premiered “Empire State of Mind (Part 2)” during a performance for iHeartRadio. The sequel to her collabo with Jay-Z will appear on her upcoming album “The Element of Freedom.”

Don’t call it a comeback!…..Chris Brown participated in a game of b-ball recently and was greeted by a stadium of screaming young girls. It’s been a tense year for him but something tells me he’ll be just fine. Rihanna was clearly not a thought on the minds of these teens.

50 Cent: “Kelly Was Robbed”

50 Cent and Kelly Rowland have gotten awfully close since she starred in his “Baby by Me” video. Curtis Jackson defended her recently to Billboard Magazine by saying “she doesn’t get the credit she deserves”.

“You can’t forget all the work she did with Destiny’s Child. The difference between Kelly and Beyonce is the extreme focus they put on Beyonce to make sure she was completely right… In order for her to mean anything to America, they’d have to match the marketing dollars spent on Beyonce. She never received the superstar treatment.”

50 says he wanted Rowland in the clip “because she’s beautiful. I ran into Kelly at the Latin V-M-A’s…and I asked her if she would consider doing it.”

The Question of The Day: Will Jay-Z Be Performing Or Not?? & Beyonce A Target?

Tonight the World Series begins in the Bronx when the Philadelphia Phillies travel to the play against the New York Yankees!!!! At the same time-on the same field- one of the most anticipated collabos this month, Jay-Z & Alicia Keys performance before the first MLB World Series game, was also expected to take place tonight.  Unfortunately, Jay-Z was already scheduled to perform at a gig in Ohio at the same time. 

John Vlautin from Live Nation Worldwide, Inc., the company representing Jay-Z, said that HOV would be performing at the Schottenstein Center in Ohio and that he would then perform in New York on Thursday, pushing the highly anticipated performance back to day 2 of the the World Series. But depending on who you believe, that may not even happen now!!

Here’s the problem, Jay-Z’s Blueprint 3 tour is scheduled to hit London tmrw as well (29th). He simply can’t be in two places at once  but one thing’s for sure, we’ll all be tuned in to see if they find a way to pull it off!!  His wife Beyonce is having some performance drama of her own….

OK! Magazine is reporting that singer Amy Winehouse snorted spent roughly $14 million this year on partying.  She allegedly dropped a load of cash during her seven month stay in St. Lucia this year.

Fantasia Was A No Show & Neffe in Delivery

So what really happened to Fantasia’s Chicago performance of “The Color Purple” on Saturday??

Well sources told S2S that Fantasia was almost ready to go on stage in Chicago when she had to back out because of a serious case of food poisoning. Yes child! Near death because of a turkey and cheese sammich!!
 
Of course that didn’t keep disgruntled fans from fuming that she pulled a no-show for her scheduled performance as Celie in The Color Purple on Saturday. Fantasia’s manager Brian Dickens says that she was actually dressed to go on stage and even had on her microphone when she fell ill. Brian claims Fay Fay began staggering around backstage because she felt like the room was spinining. When she announced that was feeling sick, Brian told her to sit down. She began throwing up uncontrollably shortly after that. About 15 minutes before the show it was clear that she was in no state to go on stage, so the production company had to call in the understudy.  
 
Fantasia was then rushed to an area hospital where she was diagnosed with food poisoning an extreme dehydration. My sources tell me it was all caught on tape and you’ll get to see it when her VH1 reality show airs in early 2010.

****Another little tidbit for you……Neffe is about to be a mommy again!!!! Well I know you knew about her pregnancy, but did you know she went to the hospital last night to deliver her babygirl? We haven’t gotten official word yet but by now she’s probably here already. 

She told S2S exclusively that she went into labor around 2 a.m. when she realized that her contractions were about four minutes apart, but her water hasn’t broken yet. The reality TV star wanted to deliver her little girl by cesarean section, however her mom Frankie  encouraged her to go with natural childbirth.  Neffe’s fiancé Soullow is at the hospital with her and her mother now. Congrats to the family!!

The baby is here and her name is Nyla Noelle Laverne Lowery AKA (Double N Double L) She was about two weeks premature, weighing in at 5 lbs., 7 oz. and measuring 17 inches long. Mom and baby are doing great. Here’s the first pic…

India Arie dropped by the 106 & Park studios the other day to hang out with Terrence J and Rocsi. The ‘free yourself’ baldie is making it’s rounds I see…..actually I believe India did it long before Solange or Amber Rose. Either way, the main focus was on her “afrocen-tetro” attire. I definitely don’t love it but I don’t hate it either…..

Wanda Sykes on Barack Obama

Barack Obama’s Correspondent dinner was hosted by Wanda Sykes, who told Obama, “It’s funny to me that [photographers] have never caught you smoking, but they always catch you with your shirt off. I know you’re into this transparency thing, but I don’t need to see your nipples.” pwwwwwttthhhhtt!!! lolol I gotta give her that one.

Obama had his own jokes too. He said, “Sasha and Malia aren’t here tonight because they’re grounded. You can’t just take Air Force One on a joyride to Manhattan.” He started off his remarks by telling the journalists, “Most of you covered me. All of you voted for me,” told RNC chairman Michael Steele that the GOP doesn’t qualify for a bailout (though Rush Limbaugh may be a “troubled asset”) and said of Hillary Clinton, “The minute she got back from Mexico, she pulled me into a hug and said I should go down there myself.”

Another crowd pleaser: “I’ve cut the tension by bringing a new friend to the White House. He’s warm, he’s cuddly, loyal, enthusiastic. You just have to keep him on a tight leash. Every once in a while, he goes charging off in the wrong direction and gets himself into trouble. But enough about Joe Biden.” baddooom chishhh!!
