“Interviews”

Lil Wayne Defends Marijuana

O-KAY did anyone get to see the Pre-Grammy Interview Lil Wayne did with Katie Couric? It aired last night on CBS:

Aside from the froggy voice Wayne had during the entire interview, it was pretty good. Did you notice he got a bit emotional when it came to his father?

“I’m a junior and my father is living … he’s never been in my life, so I don’t want to be Dwayne. I’d rather be Wayne,” he said of dropping the “D” from his name. When asked if his father knew of his feelings towards him he replied “He knows now.”

Couric also asked Wayne about his successful music career and whopping eight Grammy nominations. “Music is another form of news. Music is another form of journalism to me, so I have to cover all the areas with my album.” On his latest, ‘Tha Carter III,’ the New Orleans native expresses his feelings towards the government’s response to Hurricane Katrina on the song ‘Tie Me Down,’ which he will perform at the award show.

Among Wayne’s other interests are smoking marijuana, which he shows his adoration for during the interview. “I will stand up for marijuana any day…I’m a rapper. That’s who I am, Miss Katie, and I am a gangster and I do what I want. And I love to smoke. And I smoke”

Ummmm did Wayne forget he was on tv??? He just gave the cops goood reason to run up in his house.

Katie Couric Afraid of Lil Wayne??? lolol

katie-couricKatie Couric hit up “Regis and Kelly” today and spoke about her Pre-Grammy interview special (airing tonight) with Lil Wayne.  She admitted that she was scared of him.  Until he said “Ms. Katie, I’m a gangster.”  She says the fact he called her “Ms. Katie” and was so nice and polite, she loosened up.  Ha.  By the way, she dished that Weezy owns his own line of bowling balls and bowling gloves–that’s why they chose bowling as their interview activity.

Voletta Snaps Back at Lil Kim

Remember this Hot Mess???

Remember this Hot Mess???

Here is the latest in the Lil Kim/ Notorious saga: Voletta Wallace told Hip Hop Weekly this week that Lil Kim needs to sit down and Shut the F up:

“She felt the character we chose for her was ‘too dark,’ ” Wallace said. “Do you know why the character was too dark for her? Because she’s a white woman trapped in a black woman’s body, and you can tell the world I said it, because those are Lil’ Kim’s words. She should be ashamed of herself.”

According to Naturi Naughton, Kim thought she was too dark skinned to play her role. The talk was that Lil Kim wanted an asian woman to play her role or Christina Milian.

Ms. Wallace is fed up with Ms. Kimberly. Check it out:

“Tell Lil’ Kim to go find herself, go drink a cup of green tea and get a life!” Wallace went on. “This movie is not about Lil’ Kim. She felt we used her character to promote but this movie is about my son……Lil Kim needs to go sit down”.

Well after seeing the movie I can understand why Lil Kim is swoled. She came off as a jealous, loose, chickenhead. There was really no depth to her in the movie. Maybe thats what they all think she is.
