Javaris Crittenton Pleads Guilty

Washington Wizards guard, Javaris Crittenton, pleads guilty to a misdemeanor gun charge after the highly publicized encounter with teammate Gilbert Arenas.

According to the Associated Press, after pleading guilty to possession of an unregistered firearm, Crittenton was ordered by Senior Judge Bruce Beaudin to participate in various outreach programs  for the youth.

The 22 year-old was sentenced to one year probation without supervision.

As for Arenas, sources informed ESPN.com that he has been suspended indefinitely.

All of this over a bet??? This is straight up ludacrosity if you ask me!…….I don’t care if that’s not a WORD!

Tiger Woods is making an effort to screw his head on straight……

Sources have confirmed that Tiger Woods has checked into a sex rehab facility in Arizona. He is set to stay there for another 5 to 6 weeks and his wife Elin has stayed away from the facility.

What’s Conan O’Brien’s future??

FX has added its name to the list of networks eager to add the host to their line-up. Of course bigger network, FOX has already thrown it’s hat in the ring. NBC head honcho Jeff Zucker has been quoted as saying he’ll keep Conan off air for at least three years due to a non- compete clause in his contract. Will America wait that long for Conan??

***Update: NBC is giving Conan $32.5 million to part ways and stay off the boob tube until September. That’s one helluva paid vacation.***

NBA star, 23 Year old Shawne Williams was booked Friday on felony drug charges. Police say Williams was one of 24 people indicted this week as part of Memphis Police Department’s “Operation Lockdown.”

Williams faces conspiracy charges and possession with intent to sell a codeine-based syrup. In all, Williams faces eight felony drug charges. He was indicted Tuesday, just hours after the 6′ 9″ forward was traded from the Dallas Mavericks to the New Jersey Nets.

This isn’t Williams’ first run-in with police. While playing with the Indiana Pacers in 2007, Williams was arrested on marijuana possession charges. A year later, a Memphis man wanted for murder, was arrested in Indiana after being found in williams SUV.

Authorities in California are looking for suspects in the fatal shooting of a 24-year-old man who played bass and toured the world with singer Lauryn Hill.The California Highway Patrol says Dewey Tucker was found dead in his vehicle Tuesday night while he was en route to band practice in Oakland.

At press time, investigators had made no arrests and believed Tucker was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. They say he had no criminal history.

Jermaine, Jackie, Marlon, and Tito may be as tired of their A&E show as is everybody else in America — we’re told the network has already offered them a second season … but so far, the brothers haven’t bitten. A rep confirmed the offer and said the network would gladly have MJ’s male siblings back for another round of “The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty” — which airs its last episode this Sunday.

But there’s one problem: we’re told the brothers haven’t responded to the offer yet.

It appears Shaq’s accuser has a history of problems with NBA players!!  

Vanessa Lopez, the woman accusing Shaquille O’Neal of carrying out a campaign of harassment against her has also been in the forefront of scandal with Denver nuggets forward Kenyon Martin and Cleveland Cavaliers guard Delonte West- all while she was secretly getting it in with Shaq!!

Back in 2006, Delonte West called security on Lopez, claiming she refused to leave his Orlando hotel room. Lopez then accused West of making unwanted sexual advances toward her. West acknowledged that he had slept with Lopez in the past — but claimed he never hit on her that night. West said Lopez tried to seduce him — but he rejected her because he had another woman coming over. . 

In 2007, Lopez had incident with Trina’s ex boo, Kenyon Martin. The NBA star’s business manager called police, claiming Lopez somehow got hold of Martin’s credit card and blew hundreds of dollars without Kenyon’s permission. 

Jayson Williams is set to be arraigned this morning from his hospital bed.

Williams is still in Bellevue Hospital’s criminal ward recovering from serious injuries he suffered in a car accident Tuesday morning — he was charged with DWI in the wreck. I hear a camera will be setup in Williams’ hospital room so the arraignment can be videocast to Manhattan Supreme Court. Damn!! Couldn’t they just wait until he recovered?? He’s barely conscious.

Terrell Owens is being accused of dropping the ball on a pre-season bet he lost to a fan…

The fan claims the Buffalo Bills receiver owes him a $200,000 Bentley because before the season started, Owens made a “deal” (through his Twitter page) to catch 10 TDs this year … or he would fork over the keys to his prized ride.  Oh Pulllleaze!!

The NBA has suspended Washington Wizards star Gilbert Arenas indefinitely!
In a statement, NBA commissioner David Stern said:

“Although it is clear that the actions of Mr. Arenas will ultimately result in a substantial suspension, and perhaps worse, his ongoing conduct has led me to conclude that he is not currently fit to take the court in an NBA game … Accordingly, I am suspending Mr. Arenas indefinitely, without pay, effective immediately pending the completion of the investigation by the NBA.”

Arenas is under investigation for bringing guns to the Verizon Center (where the Wizards play) and allegedly getting into a standoff with teammate Javaris Crittenton.

There will be no criminal charges for the late Chris Henry’s fiance Loleini Tonga. The just released statement from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg police says she was not driving reckless:

“…there was no evidence of reckless driving or excessive speed.” Investigators determined she was driving no faster than 23 mph.”

The coroner’s office ruled the accidental death was caused by blunt force trauma to the head, the statement said.

Mike Tyson Is Off The Hook, Officially!

Mike Tyson will NOT be prosecuted for allegedly punching a photog at the LAX airport. Tyson was arrested last month for battery after a bloody confrontation with a paparazzo outside the United terminal at LAX. Tyson claimed the photog was harassing him, his wife and child.

L.A. City Attorney officially rejected the case, citing “insufficient evidence.” Tyson’s lawyer,  Shawn Chapman Holley, says “The City Attorney’s office made the right decision given the harassing conduct of the paparazzo.”

I guess paparazzi will think twice next time Tyson says “back off”.

J.lo Gets Dogged For Dollars

Floyd – a German shepherd once owned by Jennifer Lopez and her husband, Marc Anthony caused the couple to fork over  a pretty hefty settlement check. The dog is said to have head-butted a housekeeper and chomped a personal assistant. And that was after flight attendant Lisa Wilson said the cranky canine menaced her on a private jet carrying the pop stars.

Floyd’s turbulent history was revealed Monday by Wilson’s lawyer after the stewardess reached a confidential settlement with the celebrity couple. Wilson claimed Floyd lunged at her in 2006, knocking her back onto a table and seriously injuring her back. Less than a year later, at J.Lo’s Long Island mansion, the dog head-butted a housekeeper in the gut, causing a serious bruise.

Although Anthony testified that he got rid of the dog because it was “high maintenance,” the personal assistant who was bitten said Floyd was booted shortly after the attack. Floyd, who received intensive military-police training in Germany, was purchased for $35,000 in 2007. 

Well for starters, WHO pays $35,000 for a German Shephard?? There are dozens at the local SPCA up for adoption for FREE. Secondly, why would you spend that much money on a dog and then not invest a few dollars in training him?? Geesh.

Tina Knowles Files for Divorce….

Tina Knowles has finally had enough of Papa Knowles’ extramarital activities and has reportedly filed for divorce. Mums the word on the filed documents, but Mrs. Knowles has supposedly started divorce proceedings.

Looks like all of Matthew Knowles secret meetings and “friends” has caught up with him! So sad. I hate to see black love fail.

Tiger’s Wife is OUT!!

Everyone is familiar with the Tiger Woods story by now.  Some people defend Tiger, others now hate Tiger.  Well it appears his wife, Elin, has had enough as her lawyers now claim that there is now a 100% chance of divorce.  Her reasons for divorce are obvious (adultery with the latest rumor being Woods had sex with Jessica Simpson) and from what I’m hearing money is not a big factor.  In fact she is losing millions by leaving him now rather then waiting.  According to the iron clad pre-nup she will walk away with a lump sum of 20 million dollars + child support for their 2 children.  In comparison if she was to stay for a few more years she would receive upwards of 50 + million.

I have to say that I gain respect for Elin Woods on this one.  20 million of unearned money is a lot and the child support will far outweigh the cost of raising 2 kids so she will have enough money.  She is young enough to find a new man and move on with her life.  I also think this is better for Tiger.  The trust is gone in the marriage and there is no need to have a wife constantly looking over your shoulder.  Now Tiger can do his thing without society looking down on him.

Question for the sisters though:  Does it bother you that NONE of Tiger’s many mistresses are black?

Nas Loses in Court

Nas took the stand in his divorce case yesterday, testifying that he wants overnights with his son.

Kelis has custody for now, but Nas’ lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, wants his client to score some face time with the kid. Kelis’ lawyer, Laura Wasser, grilled Nas about not paying his December child and spousal support in full. Nas said he thought he WAS paid up. Kelis later testified that she attempted to reconcile with her estranged hubby in September, but it didn’t work. She’s also talking about the difficulty she has earning money — because with a new kid and not a lot of job options outside the music business, it’s tough out there.

One of the big issues in the case  has been how much money Nas makes. Kelis testified she knows Nas is set to release two albums next year. The judge asked Kelis what she heard about the albums. She said, simply, “Loved it.”

A judge then ordered Nas to pay $40,454 in spousal support and $10,647 in child support. Nas must also pay Laura Wasser’s attorney’s fees, to the tune of $46,022.

Did Nas get a fair shake??

Pleasure P Speaks Out About Molestation Accusations

Recently a girl named Laura Goldstein attacked Pleasure P via twitter and posted (what looked like) official documents that allegedly prove he was charged with child molestation. Several gossip sites have posted court papers revealing that Cooper’s three-year-old nephew was removed from his home and placed in a shelter — and that the court specifically forbids him from coming in contact with the child. He’s also accused of molesting his niece. And making matters worse for Pleasure, the daughter of the lawyer who was representing him has released documents that she says prove Cooper molested a four-year-old boy. Pleasure P is finally speaking out. Check it out:

“All of the recent rumors and accusations that are being circulated about me are 100-percent false,” the statement reads. “They are disgusting and vile, and they are being spread by individuals with their own sick agendas. The purported documents that are also being circulated are forgeries. I have never met or known anyone by the name of ‘AGoldstein’ or Laura Goldstein or Ashley Goldstein, which I believe are fictitious names. I have never been represented by an attorney named Goldstein. For someone to go to such depths to assassinate my character and slander my good name is truly criminal. My attorneys are investigating this matter and will take all necessary and appropriate action to protect my name and reputation.”

Meanwhile, his former “Pretty Ricky” members  are disassociating themselves from him completely. The band members have issued the following statement:

“Unfortunately, due to Pleasure P’s lawyer filing an injunction against us from speaking we are not at liberty to speak about the case. However, we will let it be known that we did kick him out of the group — he did not leave on his own free will.”

It has been suggested that Laura Goldstein is in fact an online alias that one of the band members has been using to “destroy” Pleasure’s fame. The group has reportedly been bitter about his departure and things have gotten UGLY!

The Ex From Hell: J-Lo’s Getting Sued

JLo’s first husband Ojani Noa is not going away easily!

Ojani Noa is planning to  file a $100 million lawsuit against his ex, because he says she’s trying to ruin him. 

Ojani was trying to produce a mockumentary using an 11-hour-long “sexy tape” he made with JLo on their honeymoon, but her lawyers sat on his plans and got a judge to issue a temporary restraining order. This blocked Ojani from showing any parts of the tape to the public. 

Ojani is also suing JLo’s father and lawyer for interfering with his project and for partaking in “fraudulent activity”. Ojani’s lawyer claims that JLo’s mother sold a part of the tape to Univision without his permission.

Ojani’s lawyer said, “I believe that I have an unalienable First Amendment right to enter the JLo home videos into the public court record, so as to defend myself. If Judge Chalfant has a problem with this, he can have me hauled out of the courtroom in handcuffs in front of the world media.”

They are all due back in court on December 1st.

After announcing that Usher’s Raymond Vs. Raymond album would be arriving early, Jive now says the disc is being delayed with no new date in place. A label rep explains to Billboard, “This is a solid album that we believe in. We want to give it a proper launch.”

Timbaland enlisted Drake for “Say Something” off his new album. Here’s the snippet of the upcoming video featuring the fellas.

Robin Thicke and wife Paula Patton are settling on names for their first child. Thicke tells People, “We like Julian if it’s a boy and Isabella if it’s a girl.” The baby is due in May.

50 Cent and Taco Bell have settled a suit the rapper filed last year. 50 sued Taco Bell for a million dollars in damages for using his name and likeness, saying the fast-food chain made him the “star of a nationwide campaign” without his permission. The terms of the settlement were not disclosed.

Newlyweds Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom, who tied the knot in September after a quickie courtship, have purchased a luxe new love nest, according to People.com. It’s in Mulholland Park Estates in Tarzana, Calif., and quite the starter home — one with seven bedrooms and nine-bathroom homes tucked inside a gated community. The price? Nearly $4 million, a rep for Kardashian confirmed. The house’s perks include include a pool with a spa, waterfall and cabanas, parking for 15 cars, a home theater, steam room, gym, guest quarters and fully landscaped gardens.

Filmmaker Tyler Perry has donated $1 million to the NAACP to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the civil rights organization. The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People says the gift announced Monday is the largest donation from an individual in the organization’s history. It will be distributed over four years.

Chris Brown “Don’t Blame Me”

You may remember Chris Brown was sued by a paparazzi back in May. Robert Rosen claimed he fell down a stairwell at an LA Fitness club after being chased by C-Breezy’s bodyguards and was then allegedly assaulted.

Well according to TMZ, Chris just filed legal docs claiming he’s not responsible for the injuries because LA Fitness didn’t properly maintain and supervise its operation – we’re assuming that means keeping photogs out of the joint. Chris claims … if Rosen gets a judgment, the cost shouldn’t be on his shoulders. Would you agree?

In other CB news, Chris Brown seems to have done some Twitter backtracking on Sunday night after appearing to call Jay-Z a “cornball.” The post appeared as Hova was performing his set on the American Music Awards, but Chris quickly deleted it, which he claims he did “so y’all wouldn’t blow it out of proportion.” But it was obviously too late — the Tweet spread like wildfire and Brown had to attempt damage control, writing, “Oh God, now everyone’s thinking I’m calling homie a cornball. Said cornball to what was going on in my crib with the homies. They was free-styling. It sucked. Chill. I have nothing to say about [Jay-Z].”

Tila Tequila Goes Off The Deep End

Internet celebrity Tila Tequila has gone “over the edge.”

That’s what her lawyer, Cyrus Nownejad, said after the pint-sized reality star flipped out on her live video stream yesterday (Thursday), stripping naked and ranting about ex-boyfriend Shawne Merriman. During the meltdown, caught on her Ustream page, Tila called the N-F-L linebacker a “woman beater.” Then she added cryptically, “I am an angel…because I am here to save the world with my army.”

Later, Tila told T-M-Z that her freak-out was caused by flashbacks from her alleged violent run-in with Merriman — whom she’s suing for $1.5 million, according to Tequila, who says she’ll donate it all to charity.

Tila also says she’s no Rihanna and that’s why she feels compelled to talk about the alleged abuse. (blind stare)

This chick needs to go sit down somewhere for real. Her reach for publicity is so transparent that even Stevie Wonder can see it.

Russian Roulette Premiere & Lil Kim’s Nose Bleed

Rihanna’s disturbing video for “Russian Roulette” debuted during Friday night’s broadcast of 20-20 on A-B-C. In it, Rihanna is seen drowning, being shot at and imprisoned. The director,  Anthony Mandler says “I think that with this song and the meaning of this song and how loaded it all is…the only way to do it was to do something that was visually challenging. I think you can’t effect change unless you’re willing to take a risk. You can’t get people to pay attention and understand unless you’re willing to push the limit and try new things.”

I just got word that on December 15th, Def Jam will release a three-disc collector’s package containing Rihanna’s first three albums – Music of the Sun, A Girl Like Me, and Good Girl Gone Bad. The packaging will have space for a fourth disc, Rated R, which will be released next Monday.

Lil’ Kim’s camp is firing back at claims she pocketed a 20-thousand-dollar appearance fee and skipped out on a string of gigs in London. Sources say Kim told the promoter, Abstrakt Visions Entertainment, that she’d suffered a nosebleed in her hotel room the night before the first gig and then headed back to the U-S. But a rep for Kim tells Sister 2 Sister magazine, “We do not have a contract with Abstrakt Visions Entertainment and never received any money from them. Abstrakt Visions Entertainment is in the wrong for falsely promoting Lil’ Kim in London and will be dealt with accordingly.”

Let me find out….Are promoters now joining the ranks of publicists who throw false stories out to the press for a little bit of publicity? (rolling my eyes)

50 Cent & Vivica Fox: Back Together & More Tidbits

The drama king, 50 Cent, confirmed during a radio interview last week that he and his ex-flame Vivica Fox are reuniting for the video for “Do You Think About Me,” which is said to take shots at his baby mama Shaniqua Thompkins. For the record, Vivica, who just finished a guest run on “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” has since sworn off dating rappers.

50 Cent is pretty busy these days. Guess where Rick Ross’ family  (baby momma Tia and son Willie) watched the Pacquiao fight??? In Vegas at Floyd’s mansion with 50….

Brandy has settled with the parents of the woman who died in the accident she caused in L-A in December 2006. Terms were not disclosed. Brandy had already settled with the woman’s two kids and the other injured driver back in July.

And we can’t say names on this one, but what famous celebrity husband (mostly known for comedy) with a non-famous wife has convinced his spouse that every couple in Hollywood has threesomes?

His wife was incredibly reluctant and refused for years, but he’s threatened divorced and told her that bringing in another partner into their marriage just comes with the territory when you marry someone famous.

Sources say the wife, who seems really insecure about the marriage and worried that she is going to lose the star, has finally decided to hire a prostitute for his upcoming birthday.
