Ex-NFL player Chad Johnson, better know as Chad Ochocinco, was arrested in the courtroom Monday morning and was sentenced to serve 30 days in the county jail because he gave his attorney a slap on the rear end. Chad was receiving charges for violating probation following his 2012 domestic violence case with ex-wife Evelyn Lozada.

The judge took offense to the gesture and said,

I don’t know that you’re taking this whole thing seriously. I just saw you slap your attorney on the backside. Is there something funny about this? The whole courtroom was laughing. I’m not going to accept these plea negotiations. This isn’t a joke.”

Johnson attempted to apologize but it didn’t work in his favor.

This is your courtroom. I have no intent to make this a joke. It’s not funny. My life is in a shambles right now, and I try my best to laugh and keep a smile on my face.”

The original charges for his probation were extended until Dec. 21, 2013, and he must complete 25 hours of community service. And now, he has to serve time behind bars. Smh.

Ciara was performing at LA Pride over the weekend and was served with a lawsuit during the middle of her set.

The R&B singer is being sued by nightclub Hit Factory for failing to show up for a scheduled show. There is video of the incident when a young woman hands Ciara documents. She takes them but after realizing what they were, threw them back into the crowd. A rep for Ciara told TMZ,

Ciara’s commitment to perform at L.A. Gay Pride on Saturday night prevented her from making such a Friday night appearance. Despite being notified early last week that Ciara could not appear, The Factory continued to market and promote Ciara’s appearance. The reason for the continued marketing/promotion is unclear, as it is not known why The Factory would intend to continue to mislead the public, to cause damage to the L.A. Gay Pride festival and to attempt to portray Ciara in a negative light.”

The lawsuit states that Ciara signed a $10,000 deal to perform at Hit Factory Friday night. She supposedly told them she could not perform because of her obligation to the LA Pride gig, but would make an appearance. She ended up not going.

Their marriage lasted just 72 days, but it took a whopping 581 days to finalize Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries divorce.

A judgement was made in Los Angeles Superior Court which ended the marriage. No other details have been revealed but sources say the couple had a prenuptial agreement in place, which likely means Kris didn’t walk away with a dime. Kim’s estimated net worth is $40 million. The divorce settlement had been reached on April 19th which meant Kris didn’t get the annulment he had wanted.

Kim is expecting a baby girl, her first child, with rapper Kanye West in July so I know she must be so relieved to be finished with all this legal drama.

Busta Rhymes has just been sued for $70,300 by Paramount Recording Studios for allegedly not paying back his debt. PRS claimed he spent about 375 recording hours in the studio and never paid them a dime. Paramount is fed up with the shenanigans and they want their money.

There are legal documents that state Busta’s recording schedule, and every session took place late evenings to early mornings. Sometimes he spent 16 hours in the studio at one time.

Calls to Busta’s camp have bot been returned.

Foxy Brown is MAD. VERY mad. Reports are saying that she referred to Jay-Z as a gonorrhea-infected “tranny chaser” and now she’s looking to take legal action.

The reports allege that Foxy wrote a tell-all book and in it spoke about Jay-Z’s sex life saying he partakes in gay sex and that he took her virginity when she was 15 and he was 27. There are also allegations of STDs, a sex tape and robbery.

Foxy is denying all of this and in a statement said,

The atrociousness of this story sickened me to my stomach. Any and everyone involved will be contacted by my attorney. In all my years in the music industry, these are the most disgusting and disrespectful allegations I’ve ever experienced. This fictitious story … with NO audio, visual or written interview, clearly was concocted with malicious intent. Jay has only been wonderful to me and my family, a great friend throughout all the years I’ve known him and we had nothing but great success as a team. Beyonce, his wife, has always been gracious and sweet to me … I will NOT let any undercover hater create discord and disrespect my name and reputation.This disrespect will NOT be tolerated.”

Wow. Those are some serious allegations.

Vacationing in the “big house” must be nice because Lauryn Hill isn’t the only one who owes Uncle Sam.

Mary J. Blige is clearly having her own set of financial issues. The R&B singer already owes the state of New Jersey $900,000. She was recently sued by Bank of America back in February for an unpaid $500,000 loan she took out for her charity. Now Ms. Blige has been hit with a $3.4 million tax lien because she hasn’t paid her taxes for the years of 2009, 2010 AND 2011.

These celebrities just don’t get it. Being rich & famous doesn’t exclude you from paying taxes.
