First Lady Michelle Obama is not wasting anytime showing folks what she is made of.  She’s reportedly upset with the Beanie Baby company for making these “Sweet Sasha” and “Marvelous Melia” dolls.  She calls them “inappropriate”. I would have to agree….these companies have made millions already off of the Obamas. At least celebs get endorsement contracts. The Obamas got nothing!  Ty (the company who makes Beanie Babies) says these dolls have nothing to do with the First Daughters and people are misunderstanding them to be dolls modeled after Sasha and Melia Obama.   Are they serious???

Music legends invaded DC today (Sunday) along with hundreds of thousands of people at Washington’s Lincoln Memorial in a vast emotional celebration of Barack Obama’s upcoming inauguration as the first black US president. I said THE FIRST BLACK US PRESIDENT!!!

Obama and his family enjoyed the show alongside the massive crowd who braved bitter cold to witness mega-stars including Bruce Springsteen, U2 and Stevie Wonder, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige and more as they performed on the same steps that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr . roused the civil rights movement 46 years ago.

By dawn tens of thousands bundled in winter coats and gloves were already streaming through intense security cordons for the “We Are One” extravaganza that boasted a line-up with as many big names as a LiveAid concert.

Music legends Stevie Wonder and Springsteen joined soul divas Beyonce and Mary J. Blige and a host of other stars — Jon Bon Jovi, John Legend, Shakira and James Taylor, among many others.

Well it is topical….what ya’ll think??

This is a sign placed at 5th and Eye Streets NW in DC, right in the middle of Inauguration Island. And yes! You’re reading it right: portions of downtown have been declared a “Prostitution Free Zone” for the Inaugural celebration period.  And can you believe it actually has an expiration date, as though at all other times, hookers have free reign over downtown Washington. Better yet, why are all the pimps and mack daddies allowed in that zone but the prostitutes aren’t?? lolol..

I guess it could be worse…. what if it said “Free Prostitution Zone” ?…see what I mean.
