The streets are buzzing that Jay-Z bought Beyonce an island for her birthday…a $20 million island at that! DAYUUUMMM! I hear that Jay bought Bey the million dollar piece of land in the Florida Keys to represent her last year in her 20′s. The private island is said to be 12.5 acres and about 2.5 miles off shore. This bad boy can only be accessed by plane or yacht. POW!

I wonder what the taxes look like on that!

Rumor has it that celebs such as Ashton Kutcher and Kim Kardashian make thousands of dollars from their tweets, but Cincinatti Bengals receiver Chad Ochocinco lost thousands for his tweets, $25, 000 buck-a-roos to be exact!

The NFL fined Ochocinco for tweeting during a pre-season game against the Philadelphia Eagles on August 20th. He violated a rule that doesn’t allow social media interaction 90 minutes prior to kickoff and until post-game media.  Chad tweeted a message at 6:50 p.m. and the second at 9:53 p.m. and his game was at 8 p.m. D’OH!

According to Life & Style’s  Scene Queens,  Jennifer Lopez is looking for an assistant to cater to her 24/7. Peep the job description:

“The person has to be graceful under pressure, have a thick skin, and be resourceful in foreign countries, among others things,” an insider tells the Scene Queens. “You’ll be expected to travel at a moment’s notice and must know how to adjust in each city.”

As expected, working for a celebrity like J. Lo isn’t a 9-5 job. “You can’t have a personal life — no baggage, significant others or pets allowed. The job is 6 days a week, at least 12 hour days with one day off, but you may not get off for weeks,” says the insider. “You’ll be on call 24/7 and you’ve got to be organized and always on point.”

And while hanging out with A-Listers may be glamorous – the insider notes the candidate must be comfortable around “very high profile people” – there are more mundane duties as well.

“You have to change diapers, work on little sleep and cook if the butler is away,” the insider continues. And: “You have to know when J. Lo has her snack time. She won’t say she’s hungry, you’re just expected to have food waiting.” But don’t worry, there will be some glamorous moments too; our source says qualified candidates get to help J. Lo dress for red carpet events and photo shoots.

The salary for this gig? $55,000 to $65,000. Tickets to the Oscars may or may not be included!

Remember when Diddy bought his son Justin a Maybach for his 16th birthday? Well last month Diddy did an interview with Martin Bashir for ABC Nightline, and a question came up about the $400,000 purchase. Here’s what Diddy said in his defense.

“I think it’s appropriate to give my kids whatever I want to give my kids,” he said. “I feel the way I raise my children, I don’t have to explain to you or anyone else, ’cause nobody knows the way I raise my children. So nobody knows the lessons that I’ve taught my children to understand, if they are mentally ready for that.”

A month later, Diddy says he regrets even participating in the interview with Martin Bashir, and that Bashir’s question about his son’s gift was a racist question!

In the August/September issue of Vibe magazine Diddy says,

“There were times in the interview when I had to give him an ultimatum. The questions weren’t being handled the right way. In hindsight, when I saw him I shouldn’t had done the interview because I know the style of interview that he does . . . The whole thing about giving a Maybach to my son, that’s really like a racist question. You don’t ask White people what they buy their kids. And they buy ‘em Porsches and convertible Bentleys and it ain’t no question. It’s really a racist question and put things back in perspective with money and the way that people still look at you. And I’m not saying that consciously he’s a racist. But he probably don’t even realize that he would not ask Steve Jobs that. He would be like Steve Jobs has that money and that’s the gift his kid is supposed to get.”

Actress Tamara Mowry will soon be walking down the aisle!!! The 32-year-old actress recently got engaged to on-again-off-again boy toy and Fox News producer/correspondent Adam Housley, 38.

It seems like Swizz Beatz is in a lil bit of hot water with Uncle Sam! According to reports, Swizzy owes the IRS nearly $2.2 million dollars in back taxes. The NY Post is reporting that Swizz was recently hit with a lien of $652, 727 for unpaid taxes from 2008.

Beatz attorney says:

“We have been discussing the issue with the government for years and are currently negotiating an amicable resolution of the dispute.”

After placing at number 2 last year, Oprah Winfrey has reclaimed the top spot on the annual Forbes “Top 100 Celebrity Power List,” with 2010 earnings estimating at $315 million. Well go on Oprah, we knew you were stacking, but damn that sure is a good salary for one year.

Mrs. Carter– Beyonce that is, ranks at number 2 earning approximately $87 million (hubby Jay-Z lands at number 15 on the list). Avatar director James Cameron lands at number 3, while Lady Gaga placed at 4 and Tiger Woods at number 5.

All I can say is Money Money Money Money… MONEY!!!
