Monica and her babies’ daddy, Rocko Da Don, are finito! After dating for a few years and parenting two sons, they called it quits. Word in the streets is that Rocko likes getting frisky with other women. In fact, just the other day AllHipHop.com posted in their “rumor” section that Rocko was “dibbling and dabbling” with some random chick. Are we shocked though? Hmm…no comment.
Confirmation came late last night when Monica tweeted:
“Thank u everyone for all the love your sending. @Rocko4Realis a great father and we will continue to love and parent our children. The Rest is a private matter between @Rocko4Real and I. He is a good person. We all make mistakes. Even separated we will always be family.I say thank u again to u all. And as I live and learn I grow. Don’t feel sorry for me just pray for me. Gods got it. She handled it with such class and you better believe she’s “Still Standing.”
Tiger Woods is making an effort to screw his head on straight……
Sources have confirmed that Tiger Woods has checked into a sex rehab facility in Arizona. He is set to stay there for another 5 to 6 weeks and his wife Elin has stayed away from the facility.
What’s Conan O’Brien’s future??
FX has added its name to the list of networks eager to add the host to their line-up. Of course bigger network, FOX has already thrown it’s hat in the ring. NBC head honcho Jeff Zucker has been quoted as saying he’ll keep Conan off air for at least three years due to a non- compete clause in his contract. Will America wait that long for Conan??
***Update: NBC is giving Conan $32.5 million to part ways and stay off the boob tube until September. That’s one helluva paid vacation.***

NBA star, 23 Year old Shawne Williams was booked Friday on felony drug charges. Police say Williams was one of 24 people indicted this week as part of Memphis Police Department’s “Operation Lockdown.”
Williams faces conspiracy charges and possession with intent to sell a codeine-based syrup. In all, Williams faces eight felony drug charges. He was indicted Tuesday, just hours after the 6′ 9″ forward was traded from the Dallas Mavericks to the New Jersey Nets.
This isn’t Williams’ first run-in with police. While playing with the Indiana Pacers in 2007, Williams was arrested on marijuana possession charges. A year later, a Memphis man wanted for murder, was arrested in Indiana after being found in williams SUV.
Authorities in California are looking for suspects in the fatal shooting of a 24-year-old man who played bass and toured the world with singer Lauryn Hill.The California Highway Patrol says Dewey Tucker was found dead in his vehicle Tuesday night while he was en route to band practice in Oakland.
At press time, investigators had made no arrests and believed Tucker was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. They say he had no criminal history.
Jermaine, Jackie, Marlon, and Tito may be as tired of their A&E show as is everybody else in America — we’re told the network has already offered them a second season … but so far, the brothers haven’t bitten. A rep confirmed the offer and said the network would gladly have MJ’s male siblings back for another round of “The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty” — which airs its last episode this Sunday.
But there’s one problem: we’re told the brothers haven’t responded to the offer yet.
Chicago Bears defensive end Gaines Adams died this weekend in South Carolina. He was 26. Adams was rushed to the emergency room at Self Regional Hospital in Greenwood, S.C. where he was pronounced dead at 9:00 AM, according to ESPN.
Greenwood County Coroner James T. Coursey said the preliminary autopsy performed Sunday indicated Adams died of cardiac arrest caused by an enlarged heart. The Chicago Bears released a statement that says: “We are stunned and saddened by the news of Gaines’ passing. Our prayers are with his family during this difficult time.”

Brittany Murphy’s husband, Simon Monjack, is striking back at reports his actress wife died of a drug overdose.
“I’m confident it wasn’t an overdose,” he told The News. “She was not a drug addict.” He confirmed Tuesday that investigators found and took away a bevy of precriptions – ” but nothing else” – and slammed speculation that the 32-year-old beauty was abusing illegal drugs.
Murphy was ill before her collapse Sunday – she had laryngitis and also suffered from a heart murmur – but she didn’t ingest anything dangerous, he said. ”My wife did not take anything on the morning of her death that would have caused her to be sick or ill, let alone die. It’s beyond even the sickest speculation,” he proclaimed.
Among the powerful prescriptions seized in the couple’s Hollywood Hills home – and booked into evidence – were the anti-seizure medication Topamax, anti-anxiety medications Klonopin and Ativan, pain relievers Vicoprofen and hydrocodone, and depression medication Fluoxetine.
Monjack also called reports that Murphy was suffering an unchecked eating disorder “heartless” and false. ”The attacks on me, the attacks on my wife and suggestions that she was anorexic and drug addicted, it’s like, look at the (recent) photographs,” he said. ”Look at that smile. That’s not the smile of an anorexic or drug addict or someone in a bad marriage. That’s someone who was content with her life.”

FDNY officials are investigating a December 9th incident when two EMTs buying breakfast at a Brooklyn Au Bon Pain 600 feet from FDNY headquarters refused service to a pregnant woman suffering a seizure because they were on break. The woman, 25-year-old Eutisha Revee Rennix, suffered cardiac arrest and died shortly after.
Workers at the Au Bon Pain at 1 Metrotech Center approached the FDNY medics in question at 9 a.m. on Dec. 9, after Rennix, who worked at the coffee shop, complained of shortness of breath and intense stomach pains. Fellow employees dialed 911 immediately. Amidst cries of, “She’s turning blue! She’s pregnant,” co-workers sought attention from the EMT’s who were present. Workers say they were advised by the medics to dial 911, then, after claiming their bagels, the EMTs left.
“I remember them saying they couldn’t do anything because they were on their break… We started screaming and cursing at them,” a witness recalled.
Desperately in need of medical attention, Rennix fell to the floor of the back office and began foaming at the nose and mouth. When the store manager rushed out to make a second appeal for help, two officials in blue FDNY sweaters ran to the back to assist. While one called 911 from his cellphone, the other attempted to help keep Rennix still. Meanwhile the manager ran to look for help from across the plaza. The first ambulance on the scene was a private hospital crew that arrived 11 minutes after the initial 911 call, but the FDNY has confirmed that that crew’s actions are also being investigated. Witnesses said the EMTs didn’t have one of the equipment bags needed to administer aid.
“I couldn’t believe it. The whole thing was like a bad joke,” an eyewitness said.
In cardiac arrest, Rennix was rushed to Long Island College Hospital a mile away at approximately 9:48 a.m. Police records show she was pronounced dead at 10:17. Rennix’s 6-month-old fetus, a girl, was born too premature to survive and died two hours and 10 minutes later. The baby, posthumously named Jahniya Renne Woodson, was buried alongside her mother Friday (12/18) at Canarsie Cemetary. Rennix is survived by her three-year-old son, Jahleel, her mother Cynthia Rennix and twin brother Eudane Rennix, a GI, who flew home on emergency leave from his second tour in Iraq to attend the funeral. The family said aside from some recently diagnosed issues with asthma Rennix was in good health.
The Fire Department has placed the two EMTs on paid but restricted duty, prohibiting them from providing patient care while the matter is investigated.
Actress Brittany Murphy died over the weekend due to cardiac arrest. Sources say her mom found her collapsed in the shower and immediately administered CPR. She was pronounced dead shortly after they transferred her to Cedar Sinai Hospital. The 32 year old leaves behind her husband Simon Monjack. She was best known for her roles in “Clueless”, “Don’t Say A Word” and “8 Mile”.

Grammy nominee, Melanie Fiona says she’ll be working through the holiday…
“I’m working on Christmas Day, which sounds crappy,” Fiona tells Rap-Up.com about performing on the holiday. “But it’s just one day, and if that’s the day my fans want to see me on, then I’m there.”
Despite being booked on December 25, the “It Kills Me” songstress still plans to spend time with her loved ones during the holiday season while at a family reunion in Florida, and hopes to incorporate some of her favorite family traditions.
“My family is Guyanese, so every Christmas morning we have pepperpot and garlic beef or garlic pork, and my mom makes homemade bread,” the Toronto native says. “Anything to do with my heritage is what is my fondest memory… All the crazy stuff that comes with being West Indian, I love it.”

Bengals WR Chris Henry has died after a domestic dispute with his fiance. Reports are sketchy right now but I can tell you what I have heard. Apparently Henry and his fiance got into a fight yesterday. She tried to leave and was driving off in a pickup truck. Henry who was out for the season already with an injury jumped in the back of the truck while it was moving. Somehow with the fiance still driving Henry was thrown from the truck. Many reports claimed he died yesterday but those are not true. It is not known at this point who struck who but Henry has had many run ins with the law previously and had been suspended from the NFL 3 times for drug, alcohol, and violent infractions.
This is a terrible story. Henry has been no angel but it is very sad that he lost his life. This should be a lesson to everyone that its not worth it to let these domestic squabbles escalate. Tiger Woods may be a cheater but his wife could have killed him when she hit his truck with the golf club, and now we have a man who has literally died. Men and women need to learn to walk away and when the person does walk away, LET THEM. Chasing them will only lead to trouble for you, them or both.
Tisha Taylor Murphy, the wife of comedian and actor Charlie Murphy reportedly passed away last night in the couple’s home in New Jersey.
Reports say that Tisha had been battling cancer for over a year. And last night, she succumbed to the disease in her sleep. The couple married on August 12, 1997 and they have three children: daughter Eva, and son Xavier. Charlie also has another son from a previous relationship.
Many say that Tisha was not only beautiful on the outside, but also a very beautiful soul. My sincerest condolences to Charlie and the kids.

Chuck E. Cheese is about to climb to the top of my “Hell No I’m Not Going There” list….
In Columbus, Ohio, a father of a 1 year-old interrupted the child’s birthday festivities by pulling out a knife and starting a fight with around 20 other people.
Parents frantically grabbed their kids and ran like hell to get out of the line of fire as the twenty or so people got into a terrible fight.
As of now, there are no reports of injury or signs that Chuck E. Cheese will give up and just close its doors for the safety of America’s youth.
This story caught my eye because I took my niece and stepdaughter there last week for some pizza and games. Unfortunately we had to cut our time short because this woman punched out “Jasper Jowls” for knocking over her toddler. WTH?
The government keeps claiming the economy is getting better and things are looking up.
Meanwhile the current job-loss rate among AfricanAmerican men is comparable to the Great Depression, according to the latest figures from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics. Nearly one in five black men aged 20 or older is without a job.
The rate for black males is above 17-percent — numbers which are comparable to the Great Depression of the early 1930s — compared with white adult unemployment which is under 10-percent for both males and females in that group. At over 12-percent, joblessness for black women also skews above the national rate.
Roderick Harrison, of the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies, says, “Men in this recession, generally of all races, are getting hit harder than women particularly because of the loss of jobs in industries that have traditionally been male-dominated such as finance, construction, real estate, manufacturing. People with college degrees, with the exception of finance and real estate, have been better protected. They tend to have greater job stability.”
On a personal note, my younger cousin graduated with honors from a masters degree program last year and STILL has not found a job. We tell our kids to get good grades, stay focused, work hard and go to college and then you’ll be able to have or do anything you want in life. Can you imagine how burnt some of these unemployed recent college grads are feeling right now??? You know things are rough when young brothers with masters degrees can’t even get a gig.

What would cause a boy’s father to make him strip butt naked, lead him into a field, and then shoot him in the head execution style?? Apparently in this home, molesting a baby sister is an excuse for a death sentence. I still can’t comprehend how something like this could happen. Check out the story below:
The family of slain 15-year-old Jamar Pinkney, Jr. was overcome with emotions Wednesday as his father was led into court and arraigned on first-degree murder charges in his death. Police said Jamar Pinkney, Sr. forced his son, Jamar Pinkney Jr., to get naked and then he led him out of his mother’s Highland Park home Monday and shot him execution-style in the head in a nearby field. Jamar Pinkney, Sr. was charged with first-degree murder, which carries a maximum penalty of life in prison without chance for parole. He was also charged with three counts of felonious assault and felony with a firearm. Highland Park Judge Bridgette Officer arraigned the 37-year-old on the charges Wednesday afternoon in 30th District Court. Jamar Pinkney, Sr. pleaded guilty at the arraignment…
Do you ever get tired of the endless coverage of Jaycee Dugard and Natalie Holloway — pretty white women who’ve gone missing? Derrica Wilson, founder of the Black and Missing Foundation, told A-O-L’s Black Voices that the media is much less likely to report on missing white women than on missing African-American women:
Wilson says, “There is a term often used — ‘White Women Syndrome.’ In most cases, unless the missing person is young, white, blue eyes, blond hair, attractive, the coverage isn’t there. In my opinion, a lot of these media outlets are looking to see what sells or what they think people would want to hear or read about.”
This is also true with African-American children. Wilson says, “When it comes to black missing children, law enforcement automatically assumes the child is a runaway. Rarely do runaways receive exposure about their disappearance.”
According to the FBI, 255,575 African Americans were reported missing in 2008 alone. That number makes up for 33 percent of the total missing cases that year.

John Allen Muhammad, the man who was convicted in the Washington DC Sniper shootings, was executed last night just after 9 p-m at Virginia’s Greensville Correctional Center as anti death penalty protesters marched outside.
A prison official said the lethal injection took about five minutes to kill the 48-year-old, who killed 10 people in 2002. He said, “Mr. Muhammad was asked if he wanted to make a statement [but] he did not acknowledge us. I did not hear him utter a word. He was emotionless.”
Muhammad’s attorney, Jon Sheldon, grew emotional as he read a statement from the executed man’s family, offering sympathy for the families of the murder victims, but not acknowledging his part in their deaths.
On another sad and morbid note…
Yesterday N-B-A legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar revealed that he’s suffering from cancer. The former Lakers star says he was diagnosed with the disease last year after suffering hot flashes, and joked with A-B-C News, “I’m not going through menopause — so I needed to know what that was about. My doctor said, ‘Let’s go get some blood work and see what’s going on.’”
Abdul-Jabbar suffers from chronic myloid leukemia, which affects his blood. He says, “I heard the word leukemia and I thought it was a death sentence. But my prognosis is good,” adding that if he continues to see a specialist, take his medication and get routine blood checks, “I can manage this disease.” He says he went public to let others know “they can prevail.”
The gang rape incident in Richmond struck a cord in the hearts of many. One person that can relate to the the incident on a personal level is actress Gabrielle Union. She told Global Grind about her heart wrenching rape story…..
“When I was 19 years old, I was raped. I was working at a shoe store in California, and the store was robbed. The person robbing the store ended up putting a gun to my head and raping me. As he was raping me, I felt as though I was floating over myself, thinking, ‘This isn’t happening.’ I blanked out and had an out-of-body experience, like I was hovering above seeing this horrible thing happen to someone else…not me. I was fortunate enough to go the UCLA rape crisis center after this horrific ordeal. It gave me my life back. My dignity and self-esteem were gone and they helped me find them again. That’s why I now lobby for state legislatures across the country and the federal government to help raise funds and awareness for rape crisis centers, and I speak to all different kinds of people across the country about what happened to me. My goal is to never hear the words ‘me too’ from someone after I say ‘I was raped.”
The 90’s mega group Boyz 2 Men has lost another member- temporarily that is. Two years ago Mike (Bass)McCrary left the group due to health problems and “creative differences”. Now, Shawn Stockman is missing in action because he caught the H1N1 Virus….that’s right, SWINE FLU!
Nate and Wanya were forced to perform at the Soul Train Awards as a duo because of Shawn’s condition. Nate told CNN:
“We tour eight months out of the year, and we are always traveling around. It’s hectic for us always being in airplanes and airports. He got sick and it hit him pretty hard….. I’m surprised it hasn’t happened earlier to be honest.” Nate added that he’d talked to Shawn earlier in the day and that he’s “doing much better.”
