Beyonce Tells Anderson Cooper: “Jay-Z & I Love Changing Diapers”

Beyonce appears on Anderson Cooper’s “Anderson Live” this afternoon and during her interview she spoke about how both she and husband Jay-Z have no qualms about what some consider to be the “dirty” part of being parents: changing diapers.

Actually, [Jay-Z] is very good. We both [change diapers]. I love changing diapers, I love it. I love every moment of it, it’s so beautiful. I love it all.

Bey also admits that she often sings her baby girl, Blue Ivy, to sleep.

I make up actually a lot of crazy, corny songs.”

Despite the fact that she is one of the richest, most popular, and most successful singers in the industry today, Beyonce says that first and foremost she is a mother, but thinks as Blue gets older she may have some questions about what her Mommy does.

I’m Mommy and when [Blue] sees me — today was the first time she saw me perform in rehearsal — she was very confused.”

Beyonce also told Anderson that being a mom changes everything.

It just gives you purpose and all of the things that my self-esteem was associated with — it’s all completely different. I realized why I was born and more than anything all of the things I want to pass onto my child and the best way of doing that is not by preaching or telling her but showing her by example which is one of the reasons I’m here.”

Aww… I think it’s great Jay and Bey are such hands-on parents, even with their busy schedules. They definitely seem to have their priorities straight.
