Meet Mel B’s Baby Girl: Madison Belafonte
Spice Girl Melanie Brown and husband, Stephen Belafonte, welcomed her third daughter, Madison, on September 3rd, and in a recent interview with Hello! Magazine, the 36-year-old says she feels like with her most recent baby, she’s “finally done motherhood right.”
Ideally you want to have your loving partner who you’ve created this baby with by your side throughout everything, and in Angel and Phoenix’s cases, that wasn’t the set up.”
Her daughter Phoenix, 12, is from her first marriage to dancer Jimmy Gulzar, and Angel, 4, is from her brief relationship with Eddie Murphy. Brown says she had “a rocky marriage” to Gulzar, and her relationship with Murphy “was over halfway through the pregnancy.”
This time I’ve done it with my partner — someone to come to every prenatal appointment with me, to get excited by every scan — and it feels like I’ve finally done it right. When I was moaning to Stephen about my trapped nerve I was thinking, ‘I’ve never had anyone to complain to about these kinds of things.’”
The proud mom described her two-week old daughter as “so gorgeous, and such a chilled baby.” Coincidently, Madison was delivered at the Cedars-Sinai Hospital in L.A. where Mel B.’s former band mate, Victoria Beckham gave birth back in July.
Not only does Mel B have new mommy duties to attend to, she is also ready to get back to work as well. Mel B has headed to Australia where she will be one of the judges on “X-Factor.”
