**Exclusive** The Other Side: Treach Responds To Pepa’s Abuse Allegations
Last week Pepa of Salt-n-Pepa did an interview with Essence.com where she recalled the abuse that she allegedly endured at the hands of her ex-husband, Naughty By Nature’s Treach. Her recent interview echoed her book “Let’s Talk About Pep,” in which she says Treach threw her through a glass table, beat her profusely and pulled her hair so much that she no longer has a hairline. Shocking and tragic right??!!!
I always say there are two sides to every story. Treach finally decides to speak out for the first time publicly and he spoke to EgyptSaidSo.com Exclusively. THIS IS A MUST WATCH!!! You will be mighty surprised at the story he tells:
In this exclusive interview, Treach admits there WAS abuse in their marriage both physically and emotionally but reveals the abuse was on both sides. He denies ever pulling Pep’s hair or throwing her through the table as she asserted. He also blows the lid on what he believes Pepa’s motives are, and accuses Pepa of using their children as a pawn to “get even with him”. I could tell he wanted to say more but held back.
Let me be clear when I say that abuse on any level is WRONG from either side!!! After reading her Essence interview, and then hearing Treach’s side, it makes you wonder what’s really good?! Treach even makes a heartfelt plea to Pepa in the end to let bygones be bygones for the sake of their children. Pepa its your move.

So he admits he beat her, but denies pulling her hair? The hair pulling would have been the bottom of the abuse chain. Treach is a pretty swole dude I find it hard to believe Pep abused him. Treach is the same dude who called Wendy Williams wildin’ out threatening her when she claimed her sources told him he’s gay. That would upset me too, but he showed his colors there. You cannot threaten a woman – ever.
If he admitted to beating her it’s hard to believe the shit he’s denying. Men never admit to everything, I don’t know why but we’re nor capable for some strange reason.

Bighead, he did NOT say he beat her. You weren’t paying attention. He said they both laid hands on one another and both talked to each other abusively. In other words, neither one of them treated each other with the proper respect. He denies all else.
Once again, a story like Treach & Pepa’s shows there’s always to sides to every story… Good job Egypt!
Men always deny the beating part, I mean Chris Brown still hasn’t said he beat Rihanna right? And I mean there are pictures to say otherwise. He said “physical abuse” which = beating. I mean this is a dude who use to run around with a Machete that he named. Wouldn’t be shocking to find this out about him. If you lay your hands on a woman you’re beating her. So he should be called what he is, a woman beater.

I’ll bet you Pepa was whooping his ass too. Its just a double standard. If a woman hits on a man then she is “crazy or hood”. But if a man hits her back then he is a woman beater. That ain’t right. She just seems like she didn’t tell the whole truth.
I just want to say…I saw first hand growing up…My mother was married for 13 years to an abusive husband and it went on the whole time…even before marriage and her family were not aware of what was happening, until years later…Additionally…defending the level of brutality doesn’t make it better nor condone it. Yes, maybe she got her licks in…but let’s remove the hitting from both sides…and ask yourself another question what type of open dialogue was exchanged between the couple…during disagreements. I’m pretty sure not the same as of now…because in life you have to grow…so to get to where either stand today you have to grow,
As a case of society of people not wanting to snitch on the streets during an embattled situation…therefore, what reason would people during the early era of hip hop open their mouths and speak. No one wasn’t going to speak upon it, because it was always considered a mind your business situation… Look @ Mary J, Halle Barry, Tyra and a host…host of others…during this time…look at my mom…many women, and at one time myself…no one goes around advertising it…
Often people don’t believe it’s true until it happens to them or their mother or their girlfriend.
Additionally, as I’ve worked in the international industry…it happens everywhere…and also believe it or not sometimes our FRIENDS…are the ABUSERS and/or ABUSEE…we often hate to admit it…
However, being a child of God and a angel of friendship means to pray for them and read in between the lines…that’s a genuine friendship…and if you are deeply rooted in someone especially the opposite sex male or female…one should be able to vouch and say that they know their other half as well…
Remain blessed…let’s not point fingers…however, these are two people who carried pain…pain or abuse and embarrassment. Let’s make it a social understanding that a small hit or a big hit and/or improper language reflects on the choice we make in handling situations.

Knitty – there’s a double standard because typically when a woman hits a man nothing happens to the dude. I said typically. When a man hits a woman typically marks are left and pain is inflicted. If Rihanna did hit Chris chances are he didn’t feel it, because females don’t have the strength to really cause pain to a dude. Serena Williams being the exception, she could beat a dudes ass lol. It’s very doubtful Pepa was beatin his ass, Treach is a buffed out dude and I’m sure if Pepa ever laid her hands on him, she got the worse back times 10. I have been hit by females on more than one occasion, and I never had broken bones or blood coming out of my lips or nose. For a woman to beat the shit out of a man would for the most part be physically impossible.
Where a Treach could literally knock a woman out with a single shot.

physical abuse = beating a woman, I dunno why people try to sugar coat it.
normaly, i wouldn’t even respond to an item of this nature, but
the views and opinions i’ve seen here made me think other wise,
first let me say that i don’t condone beating on any female, i wasn’t
raised that way and dont think it’s acceptable, but i must say that
people will always have an opinion, but with that opinion, there should also
be a proper perspective,….treach and pepa both came from an
enviroment where, i hate to say it, but domestic violence was a norm
in the hood 2 alot of people, and it was not limited 2 just the men being
the abuser, women have been known 2 play there part as well, under
certain situations,……. im from south jamaice queens, 38 with 3 children, and i’ve witnessed alot of the same situations take place everyday in the hood, actually there was a sort of code of the streets where if u saw a man and his girl arguing, u kept it moving, u minded ur business, once again, im not saying it’s right,…but i clearly understand where treach is coming from, and i respect him for acknowledging his part and being sorry,……now alot of u readers on here, if ur not from the hood, i wouldn’t expect u 2 understand,………….

I believe he beat her by his own admission saying there was physical abuse and many abusers say their partner is guilty of abuse when they FIGHT BACK..trying to get out of their grips…only God, Pepa, Treach and maybe their friends and family know what actually happened. And what he said about the police…if she had no physical scars they wouldnt just arrest him…come on now the police looked at domestic violence for years as it was none of their business and he cannot just say cuz she just now coming out about the abuse means she lieing….if he kicked her ass that wasnt right to their family not her finally dealing with it and letting it out..Who knows…if she lieing Treach give it to God and worry about the things u can change.
