Nas and Kelis: The Saga Continues
Nas and Kelis and Kelis are set to officially face off in court on July 21, but that hasn’t stopped the once happy couple from their public feuding and putting all their business in the streets.
The latest news is from Nas, insisting he didn’t make anywhere near the $11M, Kelis told the judge he received from his 2006 deal with Def Jam. In fact, Nas says he only brought in $4M from the deal and monthly he brings in $147K, with his own monthly expenses totaling near $71K. Nas wants to be fully involved with the unborn child and has bought items Kelis has requested such as 2 cribs, a baby sling, stroller, and has agreed to pay $5K a month in child support.
I bet he’s telling the truth, otherwise he would have made the Forbes 2009 Hip Hop Cash Kings list. He must have brought in under $6M which was the list minimum.

Kelis should get NOTHING, she doesn’t even sing anymore. she didn’t help Nas make ANY of that money, she didn’t write the songs, i don’t even think she should have custody of the kid, the justice system is a fraud if she gets any of that money

Wasn’t it on this site that Kelis was said to be toasting her new found freedom? Essentially, she was out drinking and such, no? Well, what sort of mother will SHE make? If she can be in a marriage and make a sex tape WHILE IN THAT MARRIAGE what does that say ’bout her character? Not much, that’s what!
Kelis is an unfit mother, Nas should take his son and go find someone worthy to help him raise his son! And YES, it WAS KELIS on THAT tape and it was shot WHILE THEY WERE MARRIED!! I don’t care if he cheated; if Kelis wanted to go cheat, why put it on tape? How the hell is he gonna get past that? Everyone is laughing at him, not to mention that guy in the tape calling him out! Kelis = no class and an UNFIT and abusive mother; Nas, get sole custody of YOUR son and go and start a new life!!!
This seems very trivial…. They are both in the wrong for not respecting the sanctity of their union and for promoting gossip on eachother. I would not be surprised if this turns into a publicity stunt. Nevertheless, when it comes to money, I hope they both find common ground and keep their business and opinions off the net. I mean, how would the shortie feel hving to read Mom and Dad dirty laundry when they grow up.

I really don’t understand why a lot of females think that just because your the mother of a persons child, or soon to be ex wife, that a dude owes you something. The female needs not to depend on a dude, an go out an be a woman, be independent. Don’t wait for no dude to do anything financially. Also, there’s only so much money a newborn needs. What newborn needs thousands of dollars? There’s plenty of people raising kids with less then a thousand dollars a month. People kill me. Its always when things go sour with a female, that she wants to try an milk a dude for every penny he got. Yeah, the dude needs to take care of his kid. But as far spousal support and all that bull ish, the judge needs to deny that.
The court system is prejudice against men. And many good dudes that been through it know that. The court system mainly looks at dudes for what they can do financially, their quick to side with the women. Im not hearing any female that disputes what im saying!
Right on Will, i aggree wit you on that. Kelis deserves nada penny. They both should raise their son, and equally provide for him. A lot of chicks wana think just because you get married the dude automatically should pay up when something goes wrong. F*ck dat, its time for the tables to turn.
