Bill Cosby recently had some very harsh words for Russell Simmons……

Simmons and Cosby have been at odds for years over Cosby’s State of Emergency campaign which promoted socially conscious rap music and condemned the degrading lyrics and content of mainstream Hip Hop. Uncle Rush took offense and felt Bill was too “judgemental,” but it seems Russell had a change of heart and wanted to apologize. During the Jackie Robinson Annual Awards dinner held recently in NYC, Russell wanted to be the bigger man and end their feud but Bill wasn’t having it!

Russell says,

I wanted to find him to apologize, to tell him I was sorry about my statements and to tell him that I loved him. Suddenly I turned and he was behind the curtain and I said “I love you” and he responded on some real hip-hop, “Get the f*ck out my face!”

Wowwww…who knew??? Now if that wasn’t enough, he added insult to injury.

He continued,

His next move was straight up old school pre b-boy hood shit. He walked by me and bumped me with his shoulder as I walked off stage after presenting my award to Sean, just like the cool ass character in “Let’s Do It Again.” I then loved him even more. He’s from the same hood I’m from, just got a lucky break like me, cause I am those suffering men. And after that elbow I knew he was too.”

Wow! I guess you don’t mess with the Cosby, huh?

Russell says there’s no love lost. However, Bill’s rep told the press “[Bill] doesn’t want to talk about it.”

Ahh…he just needs some time to cool off. *shrugs*
