To the dismay of many frustrated Blackberry users, UberTwitter was shut down on Friday due to “policy violations.” NBA player, Lebron “King” James himself tweeted “Life with UberTwitter is no joke.”

Ubermedia immediately went to work on meeting the new terms of service in order to be reactivated by Twitter.

They tweeted:

We are patiently waiting for Twitter to approve the changes we made yesterday to comply with their request . To comply with Twitter TOS, in the new version you won’t be able to tweet more then 140 characters from a protected account, or in a DM . We have a new version ready, just waiting for Twitter to verify it and turn everyone back on. To be a better partner with Twitter we are changing #UberTwitter’s name to #UberSocial. As soon as Twitter reactivates, you will be live again. Thx!”

With excitement I’m happy to say UberSocial is now live and available for download! *phew!* I think I heard a universal sigh of relief ripple across the country lol. Due to overwhelming traffic to download the new version another server was added. You can download here.
