Rihanna Reportedly Dropped By Nivea For Being Too Sexy??

Rihanna’s endorsement deal with the skincare brand Nivea has reportedly come to an end. The company sponsored her 2011 “Loud” tour and she also appeared in an ad for the brand. Stefan Heidenreich, the the new head of Nivea’s parent company Beiersdorf, thinks Ri needs to tone it down. He said,

The advert starring Rihanna was a no go. I do not understand how to bring the core brand of Nivea in conjunction with Rihanna. Nivea is a company which stands for trust, family and reliability.”

In other words, he’s saying she parties too much and he doesn’t feel it’s a good look for them. Rihanna seemed to brush this off when she tweeted out a photo of Heidenreich with the statement, “No caption necessary.” LOL

Last year she was the face for the brand’s 100 Years Skincare for Life campaign, and Nivea released a photograph of the “We Found Love” singer posing topless.
At that time, a representative for the brand, Markus Pinger, said:

We are excited to have Rihanna supporting us in our celebration and building a new generation of fans. Over the past 100 years, Nivea has been an iconic skin-care brand across the world. Rihanna is a music icon and her digital footprint will help us bring our anniversary celebration to consumers wherever they are.”

Other endorsements Rihanna has are with Vita Coco and Armani, and she landed herself on the Forbes’ list of the wealthiest celebrities under 30, so I think she’ll be alright.

Do you think it was right for Nivea to drop her??
