Lil Kim Slams Phone on BET Interviewer

Lil Kim hung up on BET reporter Clay Cane after he inquired about the Dancing With the Star’s drastic change in physical appearance after undergoing numerous plastic surgeries:
Let me ask you this Kim, this is a big question that we get from everybody and you can decide if you don’t want to answer it or not. There is a perception in the African-American community that Lil’ Kim didn’t like the way she looked as a Black woman so she got plastic surgery to make herself look less Black. What’s your reaction—

Kim’s publicist called shortly after the call was disconnected to say Kim was running into rehearsal and did not mean to hang up on Clay.
Clay says: Yeah right, if she was being rushed away she would say, “I’m sorry, I have to go – thank you BET for all your support,” or something. As Kim once said, “I got no time for fake ones.”
Egypt Says: I don’t blame her for hanging up the phone. As smooth as Clay tried to be, it was still an ignorant ass question. Its clear that Kim was suffering from some sort of identity and self esteem crisis so why ask the obvious? Note to Kim: Get tougher skin. It comes with the territory.

the interviewer was asking a question damn near everyone already speculates about. Kim has no problem saying in her song that she can deep throat a Sprite can *YUCK* but a question like this comes up and she’s offended? lol. Obviously she’s not happy with her body. It wasn’t an ignorant ass question at all. I mean what else could he ask her about really? It’s not like she’s doing anything worth talking about. You can only talk about Dancing With The Stars for a minute and it’s boring.
Kudos for him bringing up the plastic surgery, I don’t care shit about DWTSs but am curious why she has plastic’ed herself out.
Point made…however Kim was well within her right to hang up if she felt she was blind sighted by the question. There are just some things that you know are going to tick people off during an interview. As an interviewer, if you are committed to asking THAT question then please don’t be surprised if the interviewee responds negatively. It doesn’t mean ‘Don’t ask the question’, just be prepared for anything to happen afterward. I think we forget that our celebs are people too.
I alway’s thought Kim was pretty the way she look naturally.It’s unfortunate that sometimes people might have tease her growing up and she grew up believing that she wasn’t pretty enough the way she looked before.I only hope that she doesn’t have anymore plastic surgery she alway’s been a cutie. She got a beautiful personality and that’s my other baby beside’s Egypt!I wish her nothing but the best in life.Im voting for her on Dancing with the Stars!!!Lil Kim doing the damn thing respect!!!
