SWV Reunites on The Mo’Nique Show
Last night, SWV was on the Mo’Nique Show and they announced that they are OFFICIALLY BACK TOGETHER….
No Glitz, no GLAM…just ’round the way girls who can SANG!! Check them out performing Patti LaBelle’s “If Only You Knew”……
So what’s the verdict??? Are they here to stay???

Its hard to come back after a 15 year sabatical. I will always admire the group but Coco shouldn’t have quit the group from the beginning. There is always conflicts in Girl groups, they should have tried to stay together because they were rocking the 90′s
love em but there NOT ready to much young talent out there 4 them 2 jus pick up a mic & TRY 2 sing a classic i mean if thats the case they should of song 1 of there hits i love WEAK my fav from them. there will never b another TLC,XCAPE or SWV but if u gonna make a come bac get vocal trainin work out & make sure u hav a GOOD stylist come bac with a BANG not a BING!!! sorry ladies im jus sayin….
I thought the performance was excellent. R anb B is back and assuming it’s rightful place in the american musical genre. They are excellent vacalists and you can understand all the words of the songs that they sing. I was on my way out, but when I heard their redition of that song, I had to stop, go to the Monique show and see them perform. Can’t wait to get their new cd when it comes out. Will definitely go and pay to see them perform live. Can’t wait.
I loved SWV back in the day. But this performance was pedestrian at best. They’ll have to come much stronger than that if they want anyone to pay attention to them.
They’re already working on the New Album, so yea they are BACK! The music that was being played by the band was boring, it was too slow even though they were slow songs it seemed slower. So I blame Mo’Nique’s band, not the ladies!
I think they sounded great. Someone mentioned that they are not ready for the young talent? Please. This so-called young talent is basically non-existent. Hopefully many of these blasts from the past like SWV and Brownstone will come back and make music good again. Then, maybe people will start actually buying CDs.

MUSIC TODAY IS HURTING..MUSIC TODAY IS LOADED WITH 1 HIT WONDERS..ALL SOUND A LIKE’S..BUT WE DO HAVE SOME HOPE WITH ARTIST LIKE..MAXWELL..NE-YO..KEM..CHARLIE WILSON..R.DEVAUGHN…SINGERS WHO HAS THEIR OWN DISTINCTIVE SOUND AND STYLE AND CAN BRING IT FROM THE STUDIO TO THE STAGE. SWV FITS THE PROFILE. ALSO THEY WILL BE PART OF THE ARTIST LINE-UP AT FUNK-FEST 2010 AT METRO PARK…J’VILLE. I WILL HAVE FRONT ROW SEATS FOR THIS ONE. I REST MY CASE.
I was a little disappointed in their performance. I was like “Dang, they just totally butchered my favorite song by Patti Labelle.”
you don’t make your first come back appearance doing a decent job singing a REMAKE! Patti killed this song, you shouldn’t sing a Patti song unless you can kill it 110%. Keke Wyatt did this song justice (well almost) SVW did not. As Chino XL said in one of his rhymes
“I don’t wanna end this on a bad note like SWV live” They’re going to have to come better, I think they can actually sing so hopefully they’ll be back. Problem is EnVogue has their comeback album in the works. As as good as SWV might have been, EnVogue kills them.
I ain’t gonna lie, I just want my daughter to be able to see some sistas representing, class, talent, beauty, and style. My black is beauty! They are going to have to come hard to get this desensitized society to feel the soul again.
