Where are Mo and Kita when he needs them?! A California judge has issued a bench warrant for Terrell Owens’ arrest for after the NFL and reality television star failed to appear at a scheduled child support hearing on October 24th. T.O. claims that he wasn’t trying to ditch the hearing and tried to reschedule, but he had an obligation to attend a public workout session at Calabasas High School that day in the hopes of securing an NFL contract.
T.O. is currently paying child support for his four children, but claims the amounts are unfair because they are based on his 2007 Dallas Cowboys salary of about $12 million a year and he is currently without an NFL team.
According to his rep:
Mr. Owens is working to resolve all of these matters and appreciates his fans’ support. We are confident that Mr. Owens will be signed this season to the NFL and all of his child support payments will be modified fairly according to his true income.”
I hope Terrell gets his act together because the only ones that will suffer if he doesn’t are his children. Let this be a lesson to all the future athletes out there: save your money because child support waits for no one.
