Idris Elba Set To Play Nelson Mandela In Biopic

Idris Elba is set to play Nelson Mandela in a new biopic. The film is going to be based on the book, Long Walk to Freedom, which was written by Mandela himself, and filming will start later this year. The movie is one of two projects based on Mandela. The second is “Madiba,” a 6 part miniseries produced by Mandela’s grandson, Kweku Mandela.

There has been no official confirmation from a studio as of yet.
