Jordin Sparks Covers 1st Released “Sparkle” Poster
TriStar Pictures has officially released the first poster for their highly anticipated film, “Sparkle.” Jordin Sparks graces the cover in a fire red gown holding a mic in her hand. The late Whitney Houston, who also stars in the film, can be see in an image on the bottom of the poster.
This remake of the 1976 film was inspired by the Supremes. It follows the three Williams sisters, who sang in Harlem in the 1950′s and became famous, which eventually also led to their demise in their personal lives. This movie will have been Houston’s last before she passed away in February. The film has an astounding cast, including director, Salim Akil, whose wife Mara Brock Akil provides the screenplay, as well as Mike Epps, Omari Hardwick, Cee-Lo Green, Carmen Ejogo, Tika Sumpter and Derek Luke. The official release date is August 17th.
