Brandy Announces ‘Two Eleven’ Album Release Date

Brandy has released the date for her sixth album, Two Eleven. Via her Twitter, Brandy let her fans know that the follow-up to 2008′s Human will drop August 28th courtesy of RCA/Chameleon Records. The meaning behind the title: the month and date of her birthday, as well as the day that her friend and mentor Whitney Houston passed away.

The 33-year-old singer told Rap-Up,

It’s just gonna be a different album, but of course expressing the love that I feel now and the struggles and different situations that I’ve gone through in the past. My music always tends to be the soundtrack to my life and definitely inspired by what I see other people go through as well—gritty, edgy, different.”

On the album you can expect to see the duet with Monica, “It All Belongs To Me,” “Put It  Down,” featuring Chris Brown, as well as contributions from Frank Ocean and Rico Love.

It’s been a few years- are you excited for some new Brandy music???

  1. I’m Excited about the release of two eleven because Brandy is one of the few singers that can actually sing with or without a studio. The emotion that she pours into her music you can feel. Its not auto tuned, its her layering her songs that keeps me coming back for more. I love Brandy because she doesn’t sell sex, she releases good music that my niece and nephew can sing along with and not have to worry about “grown folks” words. I love Brandy and that is that!

I wish she wouldn’t make us wait so long for a CD and I wish she would release a Live DVD so the world can see the real talent. I will be at the store on Aug 28.
