Ice-T To Start Record Label
Ice-T may be coming back to his rap roots. The actor/ rapper revealed his feelings abut the current state of hip-hop and his new record label:
“I’m starting a digital label through EMI,” Ice-T, akaTracy Marrow, told the gatecrasher at the Tribeca premiere of “Burning Down the House: The Story of CBGB.” “I’m trying to get back to more hip hop. To me, music right now is like disco. It’s very sing-songy, and nobody’s dealing with content. That’s what I miss. I miss Tupac and Big. You got Lupe Fiasco and TI now, but in general, we’re swamped with bubblegum pop.”
T already has artists signed to his still-unnamed label. “We signed about five groups,” he said. “We’ve got an artist from L.A., a group called Certified from Washington State, Born Twice from Houston and a Korean kid from New York. I’m playing the whole map.”
I can see the righting on the wall….Coco get ready for your record deal mama!!!

Great time for Ice T to start a record label.
Not sure if he will be the next mogul, but i think he has a good edge and can release something good.
