Wow I guess BET was serious about cleaning up their image! BET has officially banned Teairra Mari and Soulja Boy’s “Sponsor’ record. Saying that the video is detrimental to young women teaching them how to get paid for sex and relationships with men. The song definitely does display those types of messages but if you’re going to start dropping videos and calling folks out at least go all the way. I know for sure that they’re plenty of other artist and videos broadcasted on BET that are worst than that! How do you feel about this controversial topic? Is it really that bad? I totally agree with you. There’s a lot of things BET needs to clean up besides this. This is just a taste of the main course they need to get rid of. For example, Usher feat. Nicki Minaj “Daddy’s Home”. They have a long way to go if they really want to keep it neat and clean.
They should have pulled Trey Songz sexual video too and alot of rappers video talking about dealing drugs. They have alot of cleaning up to do.

Censor this?! There are so many other messages being sent out on the airwaves that are far worse than this! Maybe there’s a prostitute/golddigger turned Christian calling the shots. This video must have hit home for somebody. Let those young folks make some money. We are the first to put our own down. Why not support our own and mentor our youth for growth and development? Is that too much like right? Those others take care of theirs, Brittney Spears?!

I understand what BET means by censoring this video cos when I first heard it…i thought ok what kind of dumb song is this. It’s the message of the song that makes it inapproprite, basically teling girls to be gold diggers and use men for money. We’re talking about young girls listening to this and thinking its ok to be runnign around ike a little golddiggin how.
Obviously theres other songs that need to be censored as well, but you’s =ve got to start somewhere. So that the nect time someones thinks of wirting a stupis song, with dumb meaning they will think twice. Its just a shame that she is the scape goat. But still she shold have used her common sense. shes obviously shes not that much of an artist.
BET has to start somewhere. The song is stupid and so are the lyrics, even if they’re true or not.
