Mariah Carey Releases “Triumphant” Ft. Rick Ross & Meek Mill

It’s been almost three years since Mariah Carey released her Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel album in 2009. Fans, get ready! The new “American Idol” judge is getting ready to release a new LP this fall. This will be her 14th album.
The first track, written by MC herself, titled “Triumphant (Get ‘Em),” features Rick Ross and Meek Mill. It was co-produced by Mariah’s longtime collaborators Jermaine Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox.
The singer did a press interview earlier today with fellow “Idol” judge, Randy Jackson, and she spoke of what inspired her with this song,
Triumph is what I was feeling at the time when I wrote it. Whitney had just passed and Nick was in the hospital, so these were very difficult times and writing this helped me through it. Triumph is about self-expression.”
She said she wants her fans to really listen to the lyrics.
Listen to the words of the song. There is so much you can get out of this, it is truly an inspirational song.”
