Nicki Minaj Leaves Summer Jam After DJ Disses Her Song

Nicki Minaj is certainly a topic of conversation today following last night’s Summer Jam. Minaj was set to perform at Hot 97′s concert at MetLife Stadium in NJ., but bowed out of the performance after DJ Peter Rosenberg dissed her song, “Starships,” basically calling it garbage. Rosenberg is said to have told the crowd that Minaj, ”better not perform that wack a** ‘Starships’ track. He is also said to have called Minaj “no longer ‘real hip-hop’.”

Nicki’s mentor, Lil Wayne, took to Twitter immediately after saying, “Young Money ain’t doing summer jam.” Minaj also tweeted,

Wow. U n***az just f***ed up history. But the President has spoken. #YMCMB.”

I go above and beyond for my fans. But won’t ever go against wayne’s word. What he says, goes. Had a HELL of a f***ing lineup. But we won’t b disrespected.”

See Rosenberg’s comments below…

No apology from Rosenberg at this time.
