Re-Cap: 2012 ASCAP ‘Women Behind The Music’
Last week, I had the pleasure of hosting the The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) ‘Women Behind The Music’ event, along with Ebony Elektra, at Vanquish in Atlanta. The event is to both encourage and celebrate powerful and successful women in the music community.
Three amazing women were honored and they were, singer/songwriter Crystal Nicole, songwriter/singer/TV personality, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, and entertainment attorney, Bernie Lawrence-Watkins. R&B singer Mylah opened up the night by singing two of her songs and sounded beautiful!
Attendees included hip-hop artist, T.I., VH1′s “Love & Hip Hop” stars Rasheeda and Kirk Frost, producer Brian Michael Cox and many more. DJ Traci Steele was on the 1′s & 2′s and had the crowd up and dancing during her amazing set.
