The song and video is LUKE WARM at best!! I have no idea where she’s going with this sound..She is just way to DARK..it’s almost bizzare if you ask me..The thing that really gets me about her is the situation with CB happened 9 months ago and mysteriously her interview on 20/20 is airing 2 weeks before her CD drops..I know some of you might not see a problem with this but to me it’s just not a good look at all..I just see this as her using the situation to create a buzz..I view this as a very tacky move on her part but I guess when your in the industry you have to use whatever means possible to increase your sales..
I Absolutely LOVE it! I don’t really get the issue when someone changes their Style or Apperance… The music, The Video, All go with her APPERANCE.
When Rihanna did Good Girl Gone Bad it was a transition between Music of the Sun and Her new Album, Rated R. (Because, If you paid any attention, Her apperance HAD Also changed between her first and second album)

I’m sorry but the entertainment Industry is absolutely based of appearance!! You can clearly see the change in Rihanna’s appearance over the last 4-5 years (which I may add is not a bad look at all) but let’s keep it all the way funky the “Pon De Replay” Rihanna wasn’t appealing to the masses in the least bit. I will give it to her..her label did a excellent job transforming her into who she is today. I will say this though, when the media speaks more about your sense of style then they do your music that’s a clear sign that your appearance/image overshadows you as a artist. IMO Rihanna has become much more of a side show then anything else.

I see your point but I also see where BK Don and YS31 are coming from. I don’t think this is the “REAL” rihanna in the least bit, I believe this is the rihanna that the label has created to appeal to the masses and sell records. I do think there’s something not right with her. I’m not sure if it was on this site or global grind where Omarion did a inteview about a week or so ago and was asked about his thoughts on rihanna and he himself even sad he thought that there was something “DIFFERENT” about her and that there was definitely a side to the music industry that most people will never know about so it’s not just the general public that feels some sort of way about her, it’s her own peers!!!
