Beyonce returned to the stage last night in Antwerp, Belgium. It was the second of two scheduled shows there. She had to postpone the first one that was set to take place Tuesday. She had posted a handwritten note to her fans but again apologized while on stage before singing “Flaws & All.”
Doctors had ordered Bey to rest due to exhaustion and dehydration, which caused her to cancel the show at Sportpaleis Tuesday. Technically, she went against doctors orders, and performed last night. she told the crowd:
I just have to say, I feel so good to be on this stage. I have the best fans in the world….My doctors told me not to perform tonight. But there’s no way in the world. You all give me so much inspiration. And I just want to thank you guys.”
Will Smith and his son Jaden appeared on “The Ellen Show” yesterday and addressed the rumors that Jaden was trying to emancipate himself from his parents.
Will said he made a joke during an interview in Tokyo and that people just ran with it incorrectly. Jaden, 14, told Ellen,
The thing that people don’t get is, everything at his [Will's] house is free. So I can get anything and everything at his house, so I’m going to be there 20, 30 more years.”
Jaden set the record straight on what it would take to move out and get his own house.
He says that as soon as I have a movie that’s bigger than one of his movies then I have to get my own house.”
Will followed up with,
There’s no reason to live in my house no more.”
Lol! The ”After Earth” father-and-son acting duo took it all in stride and laughed it all off.
After two years, Nick Cannon is stepping down from his Top 40 radio show, ‘Cannon’s Countdown.’
The CBS Radio nationally syndicated radio show has been on the air since April 2011. In a press statement Nick said,
I am extremely grateful to have had a broadcast home with CBS Radio. It has been an amazing experience working with the team these past few years. I’ve made the difficult decision to step away from my on air duties in radio in order to have the time to dedicate to NCredible Entertainment and the various projects that I have on my plate in film, TV, retail and a new album. It is my plan to return to radio and my listeners very soon through my music.”
His last broadcast will be on June 8th and in fun news, Cannon will be reviving ” Wild N Out” after a 6 year hiatus. The show will begin July 0th on MTV2.
Cannon will also return as host of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent,” which premieres its fifth season next month.
Baby number two is on the way for Miami Heat’s Chris Bosh and his wife Adrienne.
Their pregnancy announcement was definitely one of the best and most adorable that has ever been done!!! The couple had their 4-year-old daughter Trinity, and 1-year-old son Jackson take photos that were posted to Instagram announcing they were going to be a big sister again and a big brother.
Usher is being sued by his former nanny, Cecilia Duncan, saying she was overworked and underpaid.
In the lawsuit, Duncan is claiming that she started to work part time with the singer in December 2010 and took care of his sons, ages 4 and 5. She said the job suddenly escalated into 40 hours per week with no raise and no overtime pay.
She expressed these concerns to Usher in 2011 that she felt she was being treated unfairly and he just ignored her. He fired her last September without ever giving her the overtime pay so she’s now suing for wrongful termination, failure to pay wages and more.
Duncan is demanding unspecified damages but sources close to the lawsuit say she’s asking in the six-figure range.
Usher’s camp says that the suit is frivolous and that these allegations are false.
Last week I held my 4th Annual ‘Mommy Makeovers’ in Atlanta along with my foundation, the Egypt Cares Family Foundation [ECFF), Black Opal Cosmetics, AMBI, the Island of Aruba, I For Talent Management and Sister 2 Sister Media.
Hosted at Hair Design by Future Vision salon, ten deserving moms: Helena Fountain, Martha Newton, Sandra Surrey-Davison, Nancy Grimes, Deborah Brown, Antoinette Woods, Tibet Crowder, Renee Jones, Charlene Carter and Faith Ware received complete hair, make-up and wardrobe styling, while munching on treats provided by Gourmet Express. Special guests included the OMG Girlz -- who were joined by Tameka "Tiny" Harris (Zonnique’s mom) and Shamra Rodriguez (Beauty’s mother) – as well as author/entrepreneur Monyetta Shaw.
Sister 2 Sister Magazine publisher/brand ambassador, Jamie Foster Brown, was presented with the "Mompreneur Of The Year" award for her devotion as a mother, the 25 year legacy she's built at the helm of her Sister2Sister Media empire, and her commitment to using her media platforms to uplift communities across the country.
One of the days highlights was when one of the moms, Helena Fountain, won the giveaway: an of an all-expense paid trip to Aruba!!
Our annual Mommy Makeovers event has always been very close to my heart, but now that I am a mom myself, it has a whole new meaning to me! Motherhood is the most challenging yet rewarding job I could ever have in my lifetime. It was such an overwhelming feeling to pamper and celebrate everyday women who have endured so much and are still standing tall through it all.
Special thanks to Gourmet Express, JR West Photography, Black Opal Cosmetics, Sister 2 Sister Media, AMBI Skincare, the Island of Aruba, Hair Design by Future Vision, Nicci Gilbert-Daniels and the Curvato Clothing Line, Platinum Wig, Karyn Greer/WXIA 11Alive, Monyetta Shaw (author or The Adventures of Maddie), Deanna Hamilton (The Evan Grace Group/publisher for The Adventures of Maddie), Chanita Foster (Beyond The Game), cosmetic surgeon to the stars Dr. Nedra Dodds [Aesthetic Artistry by Opulence], celebrity makeup artists [Bridgit Crider, Apryl Janeen, Shelbi Pate] and Amber Noble-Garland [ECFF chairperson/CEO of I For Talent Management].
