Gary Coleman’s 911 Phone Call

Following the release of the Gary Coleman 911 tapes yesterday, came a report that the actor had been divorced from Shannon Price at the time of his death. This raises eyebrows because Shannon told doctor’s she was STILL his wife when she moved to take him off life support. Coleman’s lawyer, Randy Kester, says the couple got a divorce two years ago.

A spokesperson for the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center says:

Shannon certainly portrayed herself as his wife to our staff and doctors. We assumed she was telling the truth.

Price called 911 Wednesday after Coleman fell, splitting open the back of his head. During the five minute call Shannon told the operator:

…I heard this big bang, I went downstairs. Blood everywhere. I don’t know if he’s okay. I’m not down there right now because I have a fever, if I get stressed out I’m going to faint. I have my dog with me.

WHAT?! The man is in trouble and mind you he was downstairs preparing a meal for her! She continues:

I’ve just been kind of sick. I don’t want to be traumatized right now.

She then refused to go downstairs where he was lying in a pool of blood.*side eye* When the operator instructed her to have Coleman put pressure on his own wound, she’s heard yelling:

Gary, you have to put pressure on your wound. He’s lethargic, I can’t really help him. I just need help quick!  Yeah, I’m just panicked. I don’t know what to do… I just don’t want him to die. I’m freaking out.

Unfortunately Gary Coleman suffered a brian hemorrhage and died two days later after being removed from life support.

*throws hands up*

I don’t know about you, but I definitely smell something sour in the milk!!

RIP Gary Coleman.
