Allen Iverson Plans To Retire
The word is out that Allen Iverson is planning to officially retire from the NBA after 13 seasons. The reason he gives for the unexpected retirement is that “he wants to move on from basketball and spend some time with his wife and family.” Sports buffs say he’s shell shocked that no one wants his services right now so he’s orchestrating a retirement to cover up the lack of interest in him.

It’s sad though. Because he’s STILL good enough to give’m “starter”s statistics, but there are so many YOUNG guys being developed to do the SAME OR BETTER.
Then, plenty of veterans r still making a *BIG* impact coming off the bench, but A.I. can’t swallow his pride to do that for the teams that DO want him.

I think Iverson is still a good player if given the opportunity to play. But hey, if something isn’t going the way you want it to, and you can afford to retire/quit, maybe its time to do something else. Everything will work out for him. He’s good financially, pride may be bruised but he’ll get pass that.
No he not going to retire he going back to Philly to play.
IVERSON is a future Hall Of Famer, he gives 100% in every game, he’s fearless, determined, energetic and hungry.
He should not be asked to come off the bench after players who are not of his caliber.
The reason why most teams can not use him is because they don’t all need STARTERS.
But AI would be a great asset to ANY team.
