Gabby Douglas Makes History: 1st African American Gymnast To Win Gold Medal In Gymnastics All-Around

Gabby Douglas will officially go down in history.
Two days ago, the pint-sized 16-year-old, along with her “Fierce Five” United States gymnastics teammates, won a gold medal. Well, she just won another one. This time around, she became the first African-American, and just the fourth U.S. gymnast ever, to win gold in the all-around gymnastics competition at the 2012 Summer Olympics. If that already doesn’t sound great, Douglas also became the first U.S. gymnast to win both the individual all-around gold medal and a team gold at an Olympics.
CONGRATS!!!!!!
