NBA: A.I. Causing Trouble
The NBA season is a week old now and there have been some highlights. Kobe Bryant, Dwayne Wade and Carmelo Anthony have played excellent since they were able to get some rest this summer without the Olympics. But you knew sooner or later there would be a lowlight. It came last night when Allen Iverson lost it because he didn’t get enough minutes for the Memphis Grizzlies game. For those who don’t know, Iverson signed with the Grizzlies very late in the summer, only practiced for a few days before injuring his hamstring and missed all the preseason games. He then followed that by missing the first three games of the regular season before making his debut last night.
Iverson was quoted after the game as saying, “I had no problems (with the hamstring), I had a problem with my butt from sitting on that bench so long. That’s the only thing I got a problem with.” He was later asked how he would respond to being a bench player this season and it wasn’t pretty. “Yeah, I’ll be disappointed, I’m not a reserve basketball player. I’ve never been a reserve all my life and I’m not going to start looking at myself as a reserve. … To answer the question, No, I’m not a bench player. I’m not a sixth man. Go look at my resume and that will show you I’m not a sixth man.”
I think the Grizzlies better release A.I. right now. He’s only going to cause trouble. Iverson didn’t get any interest from other NBA teams because he refuses to come off the bench. I’m from Philadelphia and Iverson used to be my favorite player in the league. He’s now just a shell of himself. He doesn’t pass the ball, doesn’t shoot it well, doesn’t help a team win. The ONLY way for him to be effective is as “instant offense” off the bench. Since he’s clearly unwilling to accept the role best suited for him and the team, he needs to be left on the unemployment line until he gets his mind right.

what does “instant office” mean?
I don’t think he meant what he said to be a a** hole they asked him a question and he was just being honest he didn’t go all PC like everybody else does. I think ur right though he doesn’t play like his old self becuz he’s too focused on coming off the bench instead of just doing him soon as he shakes that off he can go back to being great.
He’s just being himself. He not causing troubling just speaking his mind.
iHOLLERED! Too darn funny…
I know this is off the subject a lil, but, I knew this lil nigga was garbage back in the day when he fake shook Jordan. I say fake shook because all he did was carry the ball during the whole exchange. Same shit he did back then, niggaz all over the league are getting called for violation today. It’s just funny that the N.B.A. is just now calling him what he always was… GARBAGE!!! Anyway, back to your regularly scheduled program.
