NBA FINALS: LAKERS ARE NBA CHAMPIONS

lakers

Last night the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Orlando Magic 99-86 to win the NBA title in 5 games. The Magic were tough all year but in the end the Lakers were too tough, too talented, and too well coached for them. In fact if not for a record breaking shooting performance by Orlando in game 3 this series would have been a sweep. Of course having Kobe Bryant didn’t hurt at all as he now has 4 NBA titles, or Phil Jackson who now has 1 for every finger.

The Lakers took control of the game in the 2nd quarter and never looked back. Kobe scored 30 points and was named Finals MVP. Gasol had 14 points and 15 rebounds, and Lamar Odom pitched in 17 points and 10 rebounds off the bench. The Lakers also got a big contribution on both ends of the court by Trevor Ariza. The saying in the NBA is “You live by the 3, you die by the 3,” and last night the Magic shot less then 30% from 3-point range, and that includes a bunch when the game was already decided.

The Magic are a good team that should be good for years to come as long as Dwight Howard continues to improve. He is already the best rebounder in the NBA and if he can add 1 or 2 post moves he will be unstoppable. The Kobe haters will finally have to shut up. He now has won a championship without Shaq as the #1 guy.

As we transition to the other sports here at EgyptSaidSo.com, please remember the ONLY expert to pick the Lakers in 5. You can only get that here.
