Serena Williams Wins 4th U.S. Open Crown

Serena Williams won her fourth U.S. Open Crown yesterday at the USTA Billie Jean King Center in Flushing, Queens. The 30-year-old tennis player defeated No. 1 seed Victoria Azarenka in the final round 6-2, 2-6, 7-5.

Though she won the title, Williams didn’t feel as though she had  her best match and said so during the trophy presentation.

I honestly can’t believe I won. I really was preparing my runner-up speech, because I thought, ‘Man, she’s playing so great. I’m really shocked.”

This win comes after she won gold medals in singles and doubles at the London Olympics. She was also the Wimbledon champion.Serena doesn’t show any signs of slowing down! She will most definitely go down in history as one of the best tennis players there ever was.

Congrats Serena!!!!
