Finally Monica stepped forth to officially confirm that she tied the knot with NBA star Shannon Brown on November 22nd in their LA home.

In a recent interview with HipHollywood.com, “Miss Thang” talked about her new found love.

She said:

This is a very special time in my life. I am blessed to have married the man that God sent me, he’s loving, compassionate, strong and supportive of my children, family and career. I look forward to our lives together.

Awww…I can’t stop thinking about the “Love All Over Me” video. Did you see the passion in their eyes? I hear the two met just weeks before they hit the set together.

The 30-year-old diva is currently putting the final touches on her 7th studio album, New Life and Mr. Brown is handling his business on the court with Lakers going for a 3-peat championship.

After all that is said and done, the two love bugs are reported to host a 2nd ceremony with their family and friends this July.

Pssssst…a little birdie told me the Mrs. Brown looking to extend their family. *wink wink*

Oh and if you noticed Shannon’s eerie resemblance to Chris Brown, that’s because they’re cousins.

Last night in a virtual must win situation the Orlando Magic shot a NBA Finals record 75% in the 1st half en route to a 108-104 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers. Orlando controlled the action in the 1st half and when they cooled off slightly in the 2nd half the Lakers could never capitalize. Rafer Alston had a huge game after shooting 18% in the 1st two games and Dwight Howard stepped up big time after a terrible game 2 with 21 points, 14 rebounds, but most importantly only 1 turnover.

Kobe Bryant had a great 1st half to keep them in the game, but had a bad 2nd half. When the Lakers got into striking distance in the last 6 minutes of the game Bryant forced shots & turned the ball over leading directly to the loss. Pau Gasol had 23 points on 9-11 shooting. On a night where he played so well he should have gotten closer to 20-25 shots.

This was not going to be a sweep so I’m not surprised Orlando won. Game 4 is Thursday & the Lakers will win before finishing things on Sunday in game 5. Orlando will NOT shoot 63% again this series, and Kobe will be better in crunch time.

The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Orlando Magic in overtime last night 101-96. The Lakers lead the best of seven series 2-0 with the series shifting to Orlando for the next three games. The Lakers got a balanced effort with Kobe Bryant scoring 29 points, Paul Gasol scoring 24, and Lamar Odom pitching in 19 off the bench.

The Magic executed the Stan Van Gundy designed offense very well last night; unfortunately they just couldn’t make shots. The Orlando Magic guards shot just 6-26 from the field and in the end it was just too much for the frontcourt to overcome. Courtney Lee missed an open layup causing the game to go to overtime. Dwight Howard scored 17 points but his lack of offensive moves caused him to turn the ball over seven times.

As stated here at Egyptsaidso.com before, the Lakers are winning in 5 and the series will not go back to Los Angeles, but did anyone else notice that Kobe Bryant’s wife was the ONLY wife in the tunnel right after the game? Kobe has taken a ton of heat for his wife & I think we can all see why. If you can’t even go to work without your wife being right under you then people are going to talk.

Since I’ve been writing for Egyptsaidso.com I’ve noticed that people seem to despise Kobe Bryant. Well last night Kobe gave all you haters another reason to hate as the Los Angeles Lakers destroyed the Orlando Magic 100-75 in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

Bryant had 40 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. The 8 assists were particularly telling since he has received a bad rap for being a ball hog. If it wasn’t clear to all of you before it should be clear after last night, Kobe Bryant is the best player on the planet.

The Magic shot less then 30% from the field last night; and with the return of Jameer Nelson will have to figure out who they want to be their floor leader. Another surprise was that Andrew Bynum seemed to be able to hold his own with Magic star Dwight Howard although he was in foul trouble throughout.

I am already on record as saying the Lakers will win this series in 5, but don’t let last night make you think this series is going to be THAT easy. It was one game and the Magic are a very resilient team that will play much better on Sunday. The only problem for them is that Kobe can still play even better then he did last night, which will spell doom for them in the long run.

I hope everyone is watching the NBA Finals each and every night because the intrigue alone has made it must see television. Last night Kobe Bryant and the Lakers used a huge 4th quarter effort to beat the Nuggets 103-94 and take a 3-2 lead in the series. I said yesterday that the winner of Game 5 would win the series, and it was reinforced after the game when Denver complained about the referees. The NBA has the worse officials in all of pro sports, BUT when a team is complaining about them it is a sure sign that the end is near. The refs aren’t the reason the Nuggets lost; it was the great passing of Kobe Bryant. The refs didn’t allow Lamar Odom to have his best game of the series, the mediocre play of the Denver big men did.

Everyone is saying that the Lakers will lose Game 6 and finish the series at home Sunday, but I am saying RIGHT NOW, that the Lakers will win Game 6 tomorrow in Denver to move on to the NBA finals and the Nuggets will still be blaming the officials.

Tonight the Orlando Magic have a chance to finish off the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 5 and I am going out on a limb and saying that they WILL do it. Lebron James and company will start their vacation early and the countdown clock for Lebron to New York will start at around 12:15 am Friday.

In the NBA just as in most professional leagues, the stars get all the press and all the blame. But…

In the NBA just as in most professional leagues, the stars get all the press and all the blame. But in addition to its stars, a team needs role players or even more than 1 star. The Bulls had Jordan and Pippen, The Lakers had Shaq and Kobe, the Celtics had Pierce, Allen, and Garnett, and all these teams won championships. This point was highlighted BIG time last night when the Nuggets destroyed the Lakers 120-101 with Carmelo Anthony having his worse game of the playoffs. Chauncey Billups, J.R. Smith, and Chris “Birdman” Anderson all stepped up while the Lakers role players didn’t. Kobe Bryant did what he always does but his team didn’t play well at all.

Tonight the Cleveland Cavaliers will take on the Orlando Magic with their backs against the wall. Lebron James is averaging over 40 points in the series but the rest of his team has played terribly, and without his miracle shot at the end of Game 2 this series would effectively be over. The fans will most likely blame Lebron, but it’s not him that is the problem. Mo Williams and Delonte West have played awful after playing great in the first two rounds.

If you want to know who will win the game tonight and eventually the series, then don’t look at the superstars look at EVERYONE else.
