BET’s “The Game” Adds Jay Ellis As New Male Lead

BET’s “The Game” is continuing to make moves to try and fill the shoes of fan favorites Melanie and Derwin, formerly played by Tia Mowry and Pooch Hall. Yesterday, we reported that Lauren London will be joining the cast, and the network just announced they’re adding newcomer Jay Ellis as well.

Reports state that Ellis will play Bryce “The Blueprint” Westbrook, a.k.a. Blue, “a running back and the No.1 draft pick from an Ivy League school who is highly educated and often the smartest person in the room. But even though he is bright, he is still a young man who has a lot to learn about life, love and himself.”

Ellis has had small roles in “Greys Anatomy” and “NCIS.”

It’s still unclear how fans are going to react to the new additions, but I do know one thing- Ellis is not bad on the eyes that’s for sure!!!
