Gladys Knight will officially be an official judge on the new singing competition show “Apollo Live,” which will be a new take on the venue’s popular “Amateur Night.” Knight will join previously announced judges Doug E. Fresh, Michael Bivins of New Edition and Bell Biv Devoe. Airing this fall, the show will be featured on Centric, BET’s sister network.

Apollo Live is executive produced by Jamie Foxx and is hosted by Tony Rock.

Knight has had an extremely remarkable music career, and it will be great to see what advice she gives to the contestants.

Centric said a reward for the series’ winner has not been determined.
