Nicki Minaj May Join “Idol” & Mariah Carey Is NOT Happy
Mariah Carey was named the newest judge to join the panel for FOX’s “American Idol” a few weeks ago and lots of names have been shopped around for who would be joining her.
Multiple reports have come out saying Nicki Minaj is said to be a frontrunner right now, which Mariah is supposedly not happy about. She’s said to have hung up the phone when she heard the news. People don’t feel this is anything personal against the “Starships” singer, but that Mariah had been informed that she’d be the one and only female judge and didn’t want to have to “compete” with a younger girl. (Nicki is 13 years younger).
It’s still unclear on whether or not Randy Jackson will stay on as a judge. He’s been the only judge who has remained the entire time since the show began in 2002.
I think it would be interesting having both Nicki and Mariah as judges- they would both bring something different to the table. What do you think? Would Nicki make a good judge alongside Mariah?
