Rihanna Tells Oprah That She “Lost Her Best Friend” In Chris Brown
Oprah’s interview with Rihanna for her “Next Chapter” show has been highly anticipated by fans. Oprah visited RiRi in her native Barbados and had a very personal and deep conversation. Opening up about her ex-Chris Brown, who assaulted her back in ’09, left the singer in tears.
It was embarrassing. It was humiliating. I lost my best friend. I was resentful. I held a grudge. I was dark.”
There has been a lot of speculation on whether or not Rihanna and Brown secretly hang out (though he has a girlfriend, Karrueche Tran) and Oprah dives right in and asked her if she considered Brown her soulmate, her one TRUE love. She also inquires about the status of their relationship at this time.
I for one am looking forward to watching this interview, as I do think there are a lot of misconceptions of Rihanna. I like that she will have a chance to tell her story. You should never judge someone before knowing their whole story.
The interview airs August 19th at 9 p.m. on OWN. Will you watch?
