Mary J. On Extreme Home Makeover

Mary J. Blige helped build a home on last night’s emotional two-hour episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Ty Pennington and the team went to Erie, Pennsylvania, where wheelchair-bound Clara Ward has opened up her run-down home to local children in need. The Ward family went to Walt Disney World. An army of 25-hundred volunteers descended to build a dream home and do mini-makeovers all over the neighborhood.

Mary J. Blige pitched in on an elaborate chandelier made out of silverware that symbolizes Clara’s work to feed children. Mary also helped out on a quilt for Clara’s room. It was a tearful return. Blige was the biggest blubberer as Clara arrived at her new handicapped-friendly home. The Wards were also wowed to learn that C-V-S had stocked the house with food and kid’s clothing, and pledged 25-thousand dollars to keep the goods coming. The gang also got scholarships from the local college.

  1. THis episode almost made me cry. I don’t really watch the show too much, but it definitely touched me, and reminded me how great it can feel to do for others, and how thankful i should be for what i do have.
