Tyra is set to make a huge short announcement today on “The Tyra Banks Show” as she celebrates “America’s Next Top Model” cycle 12 with a huge Tyra Top Model Toga Party. She will surprise her entire studio audience, who are all aspiring models 5’7” and shorter, when she announces the next cycle of “ANTM” will be for short girls who are 5’7” and under only.
Whooo hoooo!!! Its about time Hollywood realized that good things come in small packages!! Speaking from a 5’5″ point of view.
Tyra says: “I stand for breaking down beauty barriers and “Top Model” has shown that women of every shape, size and color are model material, but we’ve never done a “Top Model” cycle for petite girls!…Cycle 13 of “Top Model” is going to be for girls who are 5’7” and shorter.”

this has fail written all over it, I am understanding how the model industry works. But in my eyes 5’7 is still damn tall. 5’2-5’5 is good, 5’7 is pushing it. They need to make a show for chicks 5’3 not no damn 5’7! And the chicks will still be anorexic. I don’t care if you’re 5’7, if you’re skinny you suck. And models suck because they have to be skinny.
Tyra get back to me when you do a Americas Next Top Ass contest with REAL females with REAL bodies. And for the show you need to automatically boot any chicks who have visable Ab’s. That shit is NOT SEXY ON A WOMAN!!!
First of all, THANKS TYRA!!! about time!!! I’m really glad that she gave us a season for small models. She should do one, giving a chance to PLUS SIZE MODELS. Tyra have one PLUS SIZE WINNER already, but was on regular competition.
Some people may think that the industry is not ready for that, but they should, because most of the population are not model size. Designers should work with full figure models; girls that you can look at her and define chest, waist and hips, no models flat as a surfer board. Another thing; for the ones that think that the high fashion industry is not ready for full figure models, take a look on Tyra Banks, she is a PLUS SIZE MODEL!!!
